"He's not getting redeemed" so what would you call the constant recontextualization of Lestat's abusive actions? What about the fact that Louis apologizes for breathing (hyperbole.) while Lestat simply gets to be a solved of basically all responsibility? So much of this season has been about how he's been "misrepresented", how unfair Louis's portrayal of him is, how he didn't do this or that. Maybe it's not a redemption but it's a recontextualization that takes blame, and more importantly agency, from Lestat.

That was brusque but it took me forever to even parse what this person was responding to (they seem to think that me saying "That man is not getting condemned or redeemed. he simply Is" is me denying there's any degree of narrative sympathy for him? when I was talking about Anne Rice's fondness for the character LOL)
