so many people ive known have pushed themselves to burnout trying to deny their disabled reality, skipping accommodations, skipping rests etc. and the world convinces them that the solution to their burnout is to push even harder. it’s a huge tragedy. i know social pressures make it tough but i want more disabled people to make things easier for themselves where possible, to opt out of things that harm them when possible, to quit while they’re ahead. be that person today! protect yourself where you can! take micro breaks while doing your hobby. get that shower chair. sit to brush your teeth. lie down in the middle of the day, even if only for 5 mins. these things add up and it’s so worth it.
happy disability pride month! ACCOMMODATE YOURSELF TODAY!
Being a calm, gentle, non-reactive person is really hard work, which is probably why many people are none of these things. Personally I think it’s worth it but sometimes one does want to just roll around on the floor wailing at the top of one’s lungs

People have real issues understanding why the absence of romance and sexual desire is such a big deal. "No one bothers you over your sexual orientation! You're basically a straight person!" No wrong. The older you get the more your life is considered a failure for failing to find a life partner and get your 2.5 kids in.
Like people make fun of middle aged women for not getting married or being divorced or "always the bridesmaid never the bride" and all like "oh she's desperate! No one wants her! Old maid!' but they become straight up hostile and upset when you tell them you never want to date.
Being unpartnered after your mid twenties is just like "oh what's wrong with you" and "don't worry you'll find your guy" "aren't you afraid of being alone" "who will take care of you" "you're running out of time to have kids" and no matter what you are or aren't people straight up don't understand that you don't want them.

"The much bewailed racial health gap is not a gap, but a chasm wider and deeper than a mass grave. This gulf has riven our nation so dramatically that it appears as if we were considering the health profiles of people in two different countries- a medical apartheid. Researchers have proffered a cornucopia a series for this medical divide, many of which focus upon putative biological dimorphisms, especially genetic differences.
But in dissecting the shameful medical apartheid, and important cause is usually neglected: the history of ethically flawed medical experimentation with African Americans. Such research has played a pivotal role in forging the fear of medicine that helps perpetuate our nation's racial health gulf. Historically, African Americans have been subjected to exploitative, abusive involuntary experimentation at a rate far higher than other ethnic groups.
Thus, although the heightened African American wariness of medical research and institutions reflects a situational hypervigilance, it is neither a baseless fear of harm nor a fear of imaginary harms. A "paranoid" label is often affixed to Blacks who are wary of participating in medical research.
However, not only is paranoid a misnomer but it is also symbolic of a dangerous misunderstanding. That is why I refer to African American fears of medical professionals and institutions as iatrophobia, coined from the Greek word iatros ("healer") and phobia ("fear"). Black iatrophobia is the fear of medicine."

your last post reminded me i had a dream that you started dating Megan Thee Stallion and decided to quit this blog to dedicate more time to her. which is understandable, Megan deserves the entire world of course but also just saying if you do date her please don't abandon this blog it's really helpful ^^
On the one hand, she would fully support me doing this because she is a lover of the arts and of Black women doing well by the community. She's an anime girl, she knows about Black rep!
ON THE OTHER HAND, I cannot say I would ever choose any of you over dating Megan 🤣 like. I'm SORRY. I'm DIFFERENT than them other guys. I would serve her grapes from a platter if she asked me. Especially if she walked around in short shorts while doing it. I wouldn't be worthy and wouldn't last long anyway, so I'd have to take all the time I could to enjoy it. I'll be back.
I'm alive I'm just forgetful! And I have an agent now! Posting the main four from the book I'm polishing up ready to send to 'em. Clockwise from top left is Ellard, Iida, Indri and Atskol. Who do you think is the protagonist?
I don't see anyone talking about it on tumblr yet, but forums.rpgmaker.com is going down on June 18th and being deleted entirely in December.
If YOU use any RPG Maker engines or are considering using one, YOU should let them know that we don't want decades of RPG Maker support and history taken down. Especially when the intention seems to be discouraging people from using older versions. I personally still use RPG Maker MV because privately made MZ plugins are often made with AI, and the more recent RPG Maker versions they've released are Unity plugins and not their own seperate program, and I'm not interested in Unity at all.
Let them know you want an archive here:
Welcome to RPG MAKER GUILD Today, we're excited to announce the launch of RPG MAKER GUILD, the new official RPG Maker forum operated by Got
And contact the admins on the new forum:
The Official Community for Gotcha Gotcha Games Products
There's an update to the situation, GGG has decided to archive the site after a huge stink was made. Who knows how much of it will actually survive though.
There are still people working on archiving it privately, and someone else has offered their own forum as a new hub (because not many people like the new forum site that GGG has set up, and neither do I). Decent's site if anyone's interested: https://forum.electricairship.com/
As a certified AI hater, GGG's site seems pretty vibecoded and I'm heading to Electric Airship instead.

don't cry because it's over. attack. attack everything around you. do spin attacks
if you looked at how high the walls were, and you looked at the people who were being allowed through the gate, and you looked at who was being turned away, and you decided based on this information that it wasn't worth it to try entering the walled city, that was gatekeeping working as intended.
gatekeeping is so effective because it allows the people in charge of it to frame it as a passive and natural force. "ah well, you just don't meet our criteria because of some technicalities, it's not that we are screening specifically for Your Kind Of Person, you understand, it's just that all the requirements coincidentally happen to produce a result where Your Kind Of Person is unable to enter our walled city :) so i think you'll see that we are not discriminating!"
i think a LOT less people understand how much gatekeeping impacts their lives than are impacted by gatekeeping. if you were ever prevented from participating in something bc of your inability to meet technical requirements for reasons outside of your control, that is gatekeeoing. if you ever decided to not even fucking try because you understood that the walled city wasn't for People Like You, that is the natural and intended outcome of gatekeeping.
one of the big reasons that gatekeeping is effective is because it cedes control of the narrative to the institution that has erected high walls around their city to begin with. they say the walls are natural. they have the power to make those claims because in general, no one else has the resources to develop alternative models. due to the gatekeeping.
being so fr when I say that transmisogyny has put feminism back like 50 years
what i thought we had distanced ourselves from was the reduction of women to vaginas and wombs and the ability to bear children. i thought we had progressed past ‘dresses are for women and pants are for men.’ i thought we progressed past the idea that someone is less of a woman if she does not adhere strictly to beauty standards. i thought we progressed past the idea that naturally being comfortable adhering to highly feminine standards is vulgar. but i (sarcastically) guess no one could have predicted that trans-exclusive feminism would be the downfall of all the progress we’ve made
“We’re in danger of losing what the entire second wave of feminism, what the entire second wave of women’s liberation was built on, and that was ‘Biology is not destiny’. ‘One is not born a woman,’ Simone de Beauvoir said, ‘one becomes one’. Now there’s some place where transsexual women and other women intersect. Biological determinism has been used for centuries as a weapon against women, in order to justify a second-class and oppressed status. How on Earth, then, are you going to pick up the weapon of biological determinism and use it to liberate yourself? It’s a reactionary tool.”
— Quote by Leslie Feinberg, from TransSisters: The Journal of Transsexual Feminism, issue 7, volume 1. 1995.
So I'm not sure, if anyone sent asks of the current TADC voice cast situation yet.
Two separate clips from two different 2019 livestreams of Michael Kovach (Jax's voice actor) and Ashley Nichols (Zooble's voice actor) resurfaced of them laughing and attempting to say "negative" in half which sounded like N-slur. In one of the chats of these streams, the creator Gooseworx typed it and encouraged them. All parties are white and were already grown adults at time.
Both apologized. It's reported that Gooseworx reacted horribly (She might have deleted her response since I can't find it.). One of their colleague Alex Rochen (Caine's voice actor) only vagueposted about the situation by resharing a post to his Bluesky that's "it's hard to call out longtime friends."
Also, the rest of the main voice cast have been quiet about the racism and most of them, in the past, collaborated with a music producer: Black Gryph0n, who is an alleged known groomer, (Met his wife when she was 14-15 and he was 20.) Marissa Lenti (Gangle's voice actor) is the only one currently who addressed the collaboration, but is silent about the racism.
So outside of the fandom's racist human portrayals, that happened.
So, what are y'all as the fans gonna do?
Are y'all gonna move a la the Parry Hotter fans, where you claim that you're "reclaiming" the characters from the creator? While still supporting the IP? Because "I just have such a history and connection with these characters"?
Are y'all gonna stop supporting altogether? At least until amends and reparations towards Black fans are offered and delivered? Is this where the line got crossed, no matter what? I say this because I feel like if this is what got dropped in 2019, there's probably a lot more going on that has been overlooked?
I guess it's time to see what happens, if overt antiblackness and grooming are enough to sacrifice entertainment. Let me clarify, if being exposed for being antiblack is enough to sacrifice entertainment. Because while I'm saying these things as if the choice is easy, you would not believe how many people would forgive this situation and fight to the death if these folks dropped a tearful half-apology to white viewership. White solidarity is a powerful son of a bitch!
So, what are y'all as the fans gonna do? 👀

"Why do you talk so much about being intersex?"
Over 90% of parents of visibly intersex children opt for cosmetic surgery on their infants.
The ones that don't experience medical violence then, likely experience it as a teenager.
I didn't.
I am very rare in that I did not experience medical violence.
Why? Because I learned what intersexuality was as a young age, and I actively fought against what doctors wanted to do to me. All the way down to legal research on what medical care minors can be forced into. I remember walking into that doctor's appointment with the state law written down that proved that if I did not consent they could not do surgery.
That is why intersex activism is important. It saved me and it will save more.
