Ennoshita loved to help in any way he can. He did his best to help the volleyball team and would always be there to cheer everyone on, even if he never got to play in most games. He was always there to give a smile and encouragement to others even though whenever he got the chance to step on the court, he was always unnoticed.

He was content in giving and giving without expecting anything in return. He loved seeing others be happy because he helped them in some way. Ennoshita was happy that he was doing something good in this world that was full of problems and worries.

But there were times he wished that someone would notice and someone would praise him for the things he did.

Of course he'd never say this out loud. It might sound selfish or pitiful and Ennoshita didn't want any of those. But a small part of his mind and heart would whisper occasionally how wonderful it would be if they had someone who was also willing to give. Because how nice would it be to be the one at the receiving end?

Ennoshita thought he'd never find someone like that in his life and so he put these thoughts aside (sometimes he'd have to lock them away so they wouldn't bother him) and focused more on what he could do. It's okay, he thought. The world needs more people who are willing to give without desperately waiting for something to take.

But when Ennoshita noticed how you looked fondly at him during lunch break last Monday, he found hope.

He had just finished helping one of your classmates with their Math homework when he saw that you were looking his way. You sat beside him in class and it was clear that you were indeed looking at him but he just had to check. After all, the two of you don't really talk to each other that much. So he looked behind him but he saw no one.

When he heard you giggle, he looked back at you and said, "Umm, is something wrong?"

You shook your head and smiled warmly at him. "Goodness, there's absolutely nothing wrong."

"Then, uh, why are you... you know, staring at me?"

"I was just thinking how nice it is to see someone who's so willing to help," you said. "Other kids these days are so desperate to be in a higher position than others but you're always so happy to share your knowledge."

His eyes widened and suddenly he could feel his cheeks warm up. He had to avert his gaze or he would melt then and there from the lovely smile you had given him.

But there was something he could not stop and could not hide.

It was a smile.

A smile that you could absolutely see through. A smile you knew meant that he was indeed waiting for some validation, for some appreciation.

Just because you were used to giving and helping others doesn't mean you don't deserve to receive something.

"Th-Thank you," Ennoshita said, shyly looking back at you.

Since that day, you made sure to do little things for Ennoshita too. Sometimes you would leave small notes, saying how thankful you were for his help when you couldn't understand one of the math problems. Or you would leave a snack on his table before he would have to go to volleyball practice because you knew he'd have to stay longer at school and he'd probably be hungry. Or you would remember the things he would say to you and he'd know that you paid attention when you'd say, "Good luck with your practice match." or "You like this, don't you? I had extra food at home so I brought you some."

They were little things that most people didn't bother to remember. But it brought Ennoshita happiness whenever you showed that you consider these things important.

But what warmed Ennoshita's heart the most was when he saw you after a match against Wakutani South.

It was the game where he had to sub in for Daichi when their captain got into an accident. He felt so frustrated about his performance. He could have done better, could have done more. But he can't show that he was feeling this way, so after washing his face and composing himself, he left the restroom to go back to the team.

But he stopped in his tracks when he saw you there, standing a few steps away from him with a smile on your face. It was a smile that told him you were there and you watched the game (he was sure you had taken note of this when he told you about it) and that you knew how he was feeling.

You walked to him and when you were close enough, you looked up at him and said, "You looked really cool out there, Ennoshita-kun."

"I don't think I looked cool, (L/N). I messed up a lot."

"A lot of people do, especially under pressure and when a lot of people are looking at you and counting on you," you said. "But that doesn't mean you don't deserve to go out there and show what you can do. Everyone you look up to started from a place like where you are now. This experience will help you get to where you need to go."

Slowly, he reached out his arms and wrapped them around your shoulders. Pulling you closer, he buried his face into the crook of your neck and let a few tears of frustration fall.

In return, you wrapped your arms around his waist.

"Thank you, (F/N)."

Asahi Azumane

Now you know this boy will be a nervous wreck at the beginning.

The second someone pointed out that he was acting extra soft around you, he blushed really hard… every time.

He actually confessed after one of his matches. You were so excited for them when the match was over, you rushed down the stairs to find them. You jumped and his first instinct was to catch you. You two stared intently at each other as the rest of the team quietly watched, obviously still in shock.

“Please be my girlfriend?” he asked, all confidence in that question.

“O-Okay.” you state hugging his neck closer.

Cuddling him is always the best. Since he’s bigger than you, you like to just lay on top of him. His cheeks flushed and arms wrapped lazily around your waist, falling into a deep slumber.

He would totally freak out the first time you reach for his hand or lean in for a kiss… okay, maybe the first few times.

After a while of building up romantic trust and stability, he would become okay with PDA. Including good luck and Congratulations kisses before and after a match.

Overall, he’s a blushy mess. and he treats you like a Queen!

Chikara Ennoshita

This baby right here is an utterly sweet boyfriend.

If you ever doubt yourself, he right there, destroying those thoughts.

He makes sure you know just how much he loves you.

I don’t think he would be big on PDA, but when you guys are alone, he’s always touching you.

holding hands, pinkys are connected, a hand on your back or shoulder, just constantly touching you.

This is a habit he has because he just wants to make sure you’re still there.

You always support him and vice versa. You were the person to cheer him up and get out of his slight funk after Daichi had to sit out of that game.

You reminded him of how he left, but also brought up the fact that he came back, and that’s all that mattered. You pushed him to think about becoming captain once the third years graduate.

Full out cuddling doesn’t happen often, and it’s more like spooning than cuddling. You’re both laying on your sides, facing each other and his arm is draped over your waist. You’re asleep as he admires you and soon falls asleep next to you.

His favorite kind of kisses is on your forehead. He just loves the simplicity and the effect it has on you.

Doesn’t blush all that often, mainly just when you catch him off guard.

Very protective boyfriend!

Always makes sure you eat, sleep and are feeling okay

If you don’t feel alright he tries his best to cheer you up

He would come over with your favourite movie and some snacks

He loves to cuddle

And hold you hand

And kiss you!

But if you’re not feeling comfortable with that, he doesn’t mind

He’s a little insecure to let the team meet you

Especially from Noya and Tanaka, since in his eyes you are the most beautiful and precious thing

It’s not that he doesn’t trust you or anything, he’s just scared that you would like someone better than him

But when you assure him that it definitely won’t ever happen, he’s feeling a bit better

He would always ask you to watch his matches, but won’t be mad when you don’t

I got him some presents!!

He is already a single parent

He knows his children and their needs

He tries to logically guilt a trustworthy person to help wrangle the wild kids.

Bit ultimately, he just puts the fear of his into Tsukishima, who tries to get away.

His notebooks are very colorful!

Likes to study in coffee shops with a latte. Has a studyblr or a studygram as a result and has a lot of followers.

Strictly uses Pilot G-2 pens in 0.38 point.

Definitely bullet journals. No stickers, though.

WEARS READING GLASSES

Gets stressed out kind of easily from all of the work load included with practice, so it’s not uncommon for him to be cramming the last minute.

Eats sweets like cookies for his study snack.

Listens to only one song on repeat; song choice depends on mood.

Surprisingly gets distracted easily, so he uses one of those extensions that blocks all social media for a certain amount of time.

daichi

All of his notebooks/pen ink are pitch black.

Has one purple pen because a classmate let him borrow it one time but then he forgot to give it back and they never asked for it so he uses it for important terms/dates in his planner.

Has to borrow Suga’s TI-84 all of the time because he hasn’t bought one yet they’re like $100

Crams on weekends, not all in one day, but is the type to cram so much but still aces exams.

Likes to study in the kitchen because his room is too distracting and would be tempted to take many naps.

Decides to take many naps on the couch instead.

Changes his periods font size to 14pt because he hates writing papers.

A pen chewer.

ennoshita

Likes to borrow Yachi’s highlighters because he thinks they actually work to help him memorize things.

Mostly uses 0.5 pt mechanical pencils. Doesn’t like pens because they’re permanent and he gets anxious.

Prefers notecards instead of notebooks, that way he can study on the go more easily.

Also prefers ebooks. They’re much easier to carry around, though they do cost more.

Studies in the library because he feeds off of the atmosphere and energy of his classmates (he thinks it will motivate him to study)

Very dilligent! Will study for hours without any distractions.

Has to sneak away from Kinnoshita, Tanaka, Narita, and Nishinoya or else they’ll follow him and copy his notes.

kuroo

Really knows how to manage his time well. He actually uses the ugly planners that are given on the first day of classes and writes down when all the quizzes and exams are as stated in the syllabus.

Follows the syllabus pretty well. If certain chapters are to be read that night, then he can’t go to bed without reading them.

Can’t be listening to music because he’s the type to bop to it or scream out the lyrics.

Also wears his reading glasses!!!!!

Normally studies in his room on his desk, but his second favorite place is the library.

Likes to eat crunchy foods like crisp apples or potato chips as his study snack.

Has to study in sweats/comfortable clothing but not pajamas or else he’ll fall asleep.

Doesn’t care too much for stationary, so all of his pens are black and has only yellow highlighters.

tsukishima

Only studies in his room.

Has like, two colored pens for important notes and a regular pen. Doesn’t like pencils, even for math homework, and only uses them for exams.

Has the super fancy TI-nspire calculator.

Eats only fruits for study snacks.

Absolutely has to listen to music. He listens to those lo-fi hip-hop beats so he’s not distracted by lyrics.

A fidgeter. Knows how to do nerdy pen tricks.

Doodles in his notes sometimes. He likes to doodle random shapes and ugly puppies.

Doesn’t like e-books and prefers to buy an actual book.

Can only study aloone because he gets distracted and can’t sit still in his seat.

yachi

Colors!!!! Lots and lots of colors!!! Pens! Notebooks! Stickers!!! Stationary!

Has a studyblr and follows many studyblrs. Bonds with Akaashi over studyblrs and aesthetics.

Only uses Sarasa pens in 0.4 pt for her notes, Mildliner highlighters, and A5 notebook paper.

Has several bullet journals for different things.

Has maybe 20 brush tip pens/markers.

Has like 3 pencil cases and alternates which ones to take everyday for her daily aesthetic (warm colors, cool colors, pastels, etc)

Has cute non-prescription glasses.

Watches their matches on her study breaks.

Her laptop case is either the clear one with many stickers from cafes and friends or a pink one with plants on them.
