Morgie giggled and kissed Severus’ cheek. “I don’t know. Maybe I’ll have to test that with you? I mean, I’ve already slept on my own plenty enough to know my sleeping habits without cuddling someone. We’ll just have to see if I really do sleep better when we’re cuddling together…but if you really want to cuddle me when it’s bedtime, you know, all you have to do is ask.”

The knight merely chuckled. “Hmm.. I dunno.. I thought that you were going to say something about me cuddling with you when we sleep.” Though he really did like that idea. Just imagining the smaller girl curling up in his arms as they sleep and seeing her beautiful face when he wakes up. Yep. That sounded like a really great idea and he couldn’t wait for that to happen.

That Severus had to tell her not freak out, well, that really concerned Morgan quite a bit. She sighed as she followed him and nodded slowly. “...Okay, I promise. Or at least...I’ll try not to.” That was the most she could promise, that she would try. She got this unsettling feeling that it was going to be difficult, judging from the way he said it.

“…Luci?” Morgan asked, awoken by her sudden movements and whispering. He could always tell when she was having nightmares, especially since she never had nightmares anymore, because, as she herself had said, her dreams were filled with him instead of nightmares. But what he didn’t know was that those words were still true even now….at least the part about dreams being filled with him…

The brunette continued to press soft kisses to his boyfriend’s soft face, doing his best to reassure Leo that he was here for him, and he would be okay. He was alright with the blonde clinging to him so tightly. Morgan wrapped the blanket tightly around the both of them and nuzzled him softly.

His boyfriend’s words don’t reach him as much as his actions do. Each soft kiss pulls him closer out of his panicked state, and feeling surrounded with warmth brings security. After a few moments Leo is able to take in deeper breaths, until he’s calm enough to control his actions. Letting one hand go, he rubs away any wet trails along his face, blinks a few times and gets the last tears out. 

Morgan knew his own words were more sweet nothings than anything to Leo at the moment. They were mostly just a compliment to his displays of affection and comfort, and it was what he did that soothed Leo a little bit, but saying those words helped Morgan himself feel less worried somehow.

✸ [Because I'm a legitimately horrible person]

“...Luci?” Morgan asked, awoken by her sudden movements and whispering. He could always tell when she was having nightmares, especially since she never had nightmares anymore, because, as she herself had said, her dreams were filled with him instead of nightmares. But what he didn’t know was that those words were still true even now....at least the part about dreams being filled with him...

The redhead sure wouldn’t have minded the idea of the whole ‘portable bed’ thing. It would just mean she would get to cling to him and cuddle and nuzzle all day long, and that would be a day well spent, even if she didn’t learn any more in the way of tactics or make any great scientific discoveries or anything like that. She was…a more practical person, like her father, as opposed to her mother and brother.

“Wasn’t there a study where you sleep better if you’re cuddling with someone?” He teased. Of course he didn’t know if that was true or not. He just wanted an excuse for them to share the same tent and sleep together… safely. With them cuddling against each other.

Morgan just giggled and sighed, nuzzling against him more. “Of course you’re warm and comfy, dummy! I probably wouldn’t be relaxing so easily like this if I weren’t.” The tactician let out a sigh of contentment, cuddling happily. “Mmmm…I love you so much, Sev. And sure. We can save looking at your scars for later. Right now, I’m pretty happy as I am.”

Anymore of her nuzzling and he could’ve sworn that he just turned into her personal, portable bed. “Alright fine. I guess you can sleep here with me like this tonight then. How does that sound? And no, I’m not gonna do anything to you besides kiss your face.” He rolled his eyes and kissed her head.

“Er, I think so-…” Morgan tried to insist, but he started to feel his grip slip a little and he quickly handed the red sleeping bag to Amelia. “A-Actually, if you could take this.” He let out a sigh as he quickly took a tight hold of his teddy bear and blue sleeping bag. “There we go. I’ve got a better hold on it now. Alright, I guess we’re all set!”

She smiled as she took the sleeping bag, being around him just made her happy enough for that kind of thing to be normal. She didn’t want him to be over burdened with all of the weight, or even if it wasn’t heavy, with that much in one’s arms it wasn’t hard to have a loose grip.

“Not too far, just far enough that we have clear view of the stars, but that we’re not so far away if it gets really cold and we decide to head back in.” Morgan answered as they stepped together out into the field. “Maybe right up ahead, where the grass evens out.”

Severus blinked when she poked his nose like that and kissed her forehead. “I love you too Morg.” He smiled at her then pouted when she said that she didn’t really want to look at his body. “Well am I warm and comfy?” The knight chuckled at his girlfriend and rubbed her back.
