my whole life i lived in a world where "cream" and "soured cream" existed and the difference between them was crystal clear right there in the name, but embarrassingly recently i learned that in my native language aka polish there is no "cream/soured cream" really there's. "śmietana" and "śmietanKA" which translate to "cream" and "small cream"

[yeah yeah in spoken language we do say sour cream, other polish people proszę się nie przypierdalać okej, but I'm talking about the actual product in the store ok none of that shit ever calls itself "soured cream" apart from that one brand that calls itself soured cream in english] anyway knowing which one is which is NOT the issue actually. it's just that. I have a book of handwritten recipes that I collected over the years from different sources and because I was the one writing them down EVERY SINGLE RECIPIE CALLS FOR SOUR CREAM BECAUSE I WAS CALLING EVERYTHING ŚMIETANA

I DIDNT KNOW ŚMIETNA AND ŚMIETANKA ARE DIFFERENT I THOUGHT PEOPLE WERE BEING CUTE. I THOUGHT THEY CAME IN SMALL CONTAINERS WHICH IS WHY PEOPLE CALL IT ITSY BITSY CUTIE CREAM OK

Usopp is hit with a love potion and falls for Sanji. He’s acting trails after him lovesick with hearts in his eyes.

Sanji tries to ignore it attempts to play along and then snaps at usopp saying he would never love him like that. He immediately regrets as usopps bit brown eyes fill with tears but he can’t take it back as usopp runs away.

#one piece #usopp #sanji #sanuso #my one piece posts #my posts #I think this would be pre timeskip like back on the merry #I don’t know if before or after skypia…#nami screams at Sanji before taking off to find usopp #no one can find usopp and of course there’s a storm coming #nami finds him in the storm in like a little cave or something wet and muddy and miserable nami plops right down next to him #and they hug and cry it out before nami takes him back to the merry #they warm up with a bubble bath and raid Sanjis fancy snacks and hot chocolate before usopp says he’s tired and wants to be alone #Sanji is tired physically but exhausted emotionally and over all worn down #he thinks he’s checked every part of this tiny island twice and still no sign of his dear friend if usopp even considers him a friend #he decides to head back to merry to see if they can all regroup #eventually Sanji finds usopp in his bunk of all places eyes red and puffy #turns out the rejection broke the spell usopp very very obviously lies and acts like he has no idea what happened #I’m sorry Sanji for being mean to you I know youre not a bad guy but also I dont think this Sanji would be ready for this not until post ts #they do slowly work to rebuild their friendship it’s like they have to start all over again #moments that used to be easy are now stilted comfortable silence is now awkward pauses where their used to be laughter #they do become friends again and after the ts sanji is able to admit his feelings to himself and usopp #maybe it even takes till after wci they had both been feeling something building between them #but didn’t want to say much and risk the spark being smothered #but now after everything Sanji is not hiding who he is anymore #he gets to wano and picks usopp up and asks him to marry him #that was not what he planned to say and he goes completely red and usopp #of course says no but he’s laughing and smiling and kisses Sanjis cheek and they will be okay
