What Now: Normal People
This one is inspired by two recent remarks by Stephen Miller and Marco Rubio, characterizing the “far left” (whatever that is) as violent extremists seeking to destroy all the good things capitalism has given us, like AI data centers and concentration camps.
Here are their remarks.
Miller: "It's not a coincidence that when you look at these violent Antifa demonstrations not one of the people that is demonstrating looks like a normal person. Not one looks normal. They're all deformed in some way in their appearance, in their dress, in their mannerism."
Rubio: “It is a poisonous resentment cloaked in the language of equality and justice and liberation, an overwhelming need to tear down what greater men have built, to wreck what is beautiful and what is right on behalf of people who are only filled with ugliness and have nothing else to offer the world. Through violence and through terror, they once again seek to impose their ugliness on all of us.”
There is a lot wrong with their speeches — especially Rubin’s, dredging up McCarthyism while ignoring real violence his friends on the right commit. But they’re recruits for ICE and Border Patrol, so I guess they get a pass. Anyway, I chose to highlight the absurdity of anyone in this administration or on the right calling anyone abnormal or deformed in dress, mannerisms, or behavior. Look at those Patriot Front dorks. I barely deviated from my reference photo.
