Inho caught himself stopping thinking about the future, and he even liked it. Everything looked as it should look. 

Even he himself believed in it—sometimes. 

He learned to fold the past into neat boxes somewhere deep inside himself, leaving it behind a closed door. He could afford the luxury of not remembering. At least during the day. 

Only at night—when Mi Yeon slept next to him, and he lay awake, staring at the ceiling—it became clear that ghosts don't disappear. They just wait until you relax.

In the summer, when Junho was 19, Inho took a vacation. He picked up his brother and took him as far away from the capital and the hustle and bustle of big cities as possible. They drove and drove until they found themselves in a very small, remote village by the coast. The area wasn't particularly appealing to visitors and tourists: the beaches around were wild, full of pebbles from rocky shores, there were only a couple of shops in the whole village, and not every resident even knew the word "sights". Yet Inho purposefully drove exactly here.
