First thing I say to them “goth me up!” In my radical sounding voice which I used through the interview

The 2 portfolio scouts look very confused

no portfolio other than drawings in my iPad

Info dump my ideas and characters

Show them Emily and her voice

Their both confused but impressed with what I showed

They say I’m better pitching a pilot than being an intern since they like my characters and ideas

I would describe how I acted as a mix of Freddy Got Fingered pitching his cartoons, and The main guy from Nightcrawler

there must be homework i need to do, bc im finally making a masterpost on this beautiful mystery from the place i last worked

this is the amazing mural i’ve been talking about since i first started working there, generally referred to as “The Will Smith Fish Wall Mural” (b/c i could never remember the name of the actual movie these actual characters are from)

here is, in my time working there, everything i learned about The Shark Tale Mural

i worked at a call center which is, i assume, why exactly 2 of them have headsets

this beautiful masterpiece was painted on the walls inside the part of the building No One Was Allowed To Use

no one knows why this was painted

no one knows who painted it (sinel?? siral??? i think this is just supposed to be the name of the building/corp itself)

no one knows when they painted it or how long it’s been there (was the person actually commissioned to paint this or did they just fuck off during their shift and paint??? did they stay after hours and paint it out of love???? how did they get permission (if not a commission) to do this or could they Just Not Be Stopped???? no one knows)

no one else ever questioned the existence of or anything else about this mural; it was just a silently Understood part of life

when i first started asking some of the managers about it they all just looked at it as if they had never noticed it before

i popped in the hr manager’s office to ask about it once and she just stared at me silently until i left

i asked one of the guys who do building maintenance about it and he just said “I don’t talk about that” and walked away
