While his attire and appearance were not the most typical of Mandalorians, courtesy of his time of origin and the lack of gorane he knew that could have remedied this, if he had wanted to, the shape of the chestplate and the vambraces were traditional, and so was the visor of the helmet. Of course, going bare-faced so often did tend to throw people off the trail anyway.

Just like his presence in the Force did, when he wasn't shielding too heavily, and he often was not. And it made him perceptive enough to consider, and then notice something. Something unusual enough. Not unlike her question.

"I am a newcomer." He confirmed, leaning slightly forward. And then, even as he reached slightly through the Force -just the slightest poke, the slightest recognition, not so much a push as a brush, to see if there was a reaction, "I take you have never met a Mandalorian before?"

There was something else though. Something that was barely noticeable, that she'd definitely miss out on if it wasn't for Luke doing his best to teach her a thing or two about the Force. While she'd never become a Jedi, not something she was interested in, she didn't mind learning about how to use it. Who knows ... Maybe it could come in handy one of these days.

There were not many things that could soften Yan's demeanor, and while sparring did not soften it, per se, it had always been one of his pleasures: he was a duelist, he lived for the conversation that was a proper spar, a proper battle, when given time to shine.

It was also the only thing keeping him reasonably busy and steady, given the situation, and the time, and the way he was being kept on Coruscant. Ostensibly for his own safety, which he had some thoughts about.

But he liked the salles. Whether he was learning, or teaching, or just sparring, and he had not often found oponents that made the challenge exhilarating.

Anakin was one of them. And so, the answer was already a given, the moment a spar was offered: it didn't matter that Dooku had spent half of the night scouring the holonet for anything that might lead him to clues about Sifo-Dyas.

"I'm in." He said.

And after a moment of consideration, because his current clothes would do, he'd just changed anyway, he nodded, and while he didn't smile, not exactly, the thrill of the spar was there in his presence in the Force, and in his voice as he spoke again.

Well, besides a younger version of his face as well as the same name. If it wasn't for that though, he would have never known those two were ones and the same. Not that it really came into conversation, as young Yan's presence was one big secret and besides the highest ranked Jedi, Generals and what not ... No one knew who the newcomer was.

He knew though that having to stay here in Coruscant must be quite boring and while he wasn't one to seek out the company of others, he couldn't help it this time around. After all, his interest has definitely been picked. And if he was as strong already as the man he once fought ... Well. It was definitely going to be entertaining.

Then the Resolute is ambushed during Skywalker’s prep time. The General bursts out of his quarters and asks Rex to finish up the transmission while he joins the dogfight outside.

On his desk, the casualty report. Beside each CT number on the list, in bunched, angular handwriting, is each clone’s name. This is the sheet going straight to the senate - perhaps the only legal document on which their actual names would ever be found. Skywalker immortalizing them in the only way he can.
