I don’t think this is too spoiler-y for the MLTH story since it’s technically speculative fiction and doesn’t happen in canon? But anyway, here’s the story behind this:

Marion has kept a journal recording his daily life in the Relington Mansion ever since he was a preteen, even when Velns took over. When Velns came across the journal and found pages of incriminating evidence that can easily be used against him, he did what any sensible person with concerns would do: lock the kid up to drown, and burn the evidence.

It started off with an au with the anime Show by Rock, and the j rock band exist†trace, which led to drawing Ayden with red hair. It’s a good look for him and we’ll possibly make it canon at some point :3c
