RECOVER :  for one muse to return the other’s lost belonging. for Halre

The elleth had been watching the much taller elf from afar, she assumed the pack that she found in spider webs belonged to him and deciding that he isn't a threat to her she decided to approach him. Calithil held the bag out to him, still cautious of this newcomer.

“Hey buttercup, doing anything for Valentine’s Day?”

“I’m not playing a game,” Vali insisted, so so close to telling her the truth, but would she even believe him? She’d probably just laugh him off anyway if he told her.

Calithil bit down hard on her lip, she doesn’t understand why this was happening or why he won’t be honest. But she knew it was best to leave it be for now…but she also knew she couldn’t be around him for a while. Nodding her head she stands up from the bed and grabs her clothes. “Okay…I’m gonna go to my room and rest for the day…bye”

“Hey buttercup, doing anything for Valentine’s Day?”

Vali rolled back onto his side and wrapped an arm around her again. “It’s fine, don’t worry about it.”

“…..” she doesn’t speak for a moment, she was thinking of an answer because depending on what she says could hurt him and that’s something she doesn’t want.

Vali nodded and continued to stroke her hair, resting his lips on her neck so he could feel her pulse as he thought. He wanted them to change, and from the sounds of it she did too. She didn’t deserve to have her heart broken though.

She kisses his lips and rested her head in his chest. Calithil has never felt this way before about anyone, it was a new feeling she didn’t want to get rid of anytime soon.

Vali stared up at his ceiling that of course was covered in glow in the dark stars. He forgot to breathe in that moment, just stared up in silence as he debated. What was he supposed to do? Lie and refuse, destroy what they had made and make this living situation even more complicated? Or open his heart and be prepared for it to be ruined. There was a reason he never expressed such emotions before, it never ended well.

The light her eyes dims, her heart was breaking…did he not feel the same way? If he doesn’t why does he kiss her like he loved her? She sits up and holds the sheets to her chest to cover herself..and to also protect herself.

“Cali…” Vali said as he sat up, he had made a terrible mistake that was for sure.

“Y-You suggested you wanted something more from me and I thought that meant a relationship which im fine with….but I guess it was mixed signals” She tried to laugh off the pain but it didnt work, it only caused her tears to fall.

“I want…I don’t know” Vali said softly. He wanted her, that was clear but working out the logistics of that was easier said than done.

“What do you mean? you cant do anything to hurt me...Please just be honest with me, I have no idea why your acting strange but I want to know!” Calithil cried rubbing her tears away, she couldnt understand what he meant with that last statement. Did he mean hurt her emotionally? or some other way?

“He's in my head forever now...he will never go away..” Calithil said as she started to sob, the times when she gets to speak in her own body have dwindled so she's taking this moment to finally speak since she doesnt know when will be her next.

Braid

“Sorry, but the bunnies where starting to snack on your hair, it’s almost done okay?” She told the ranger as she twisted his hair into a French braid. “You can sleep soon okay?”

Hal blinked at that explanation, before tired amusement appeared in his gaze. “I’m surprised there are any rabbits around here right now. Most took off when my companion landed.” He used the back of his hand to clear his eyes, glancing at the watchful Northern Hawk above them.

“oh hush now...I think you look quite handsome with it” Cali said brushing a strand of hair out of his face. She looks over to his feathered companion and waved at him.

Vali rolled back onto his side and wrapped an arm around her again. “It’s fine, don’t worry about it.”

Vali’s lips hardly left Calithil’s body for the next hour, it could’ve been longer but time seemed to fade away as he showed her just how much he did care for her and let them both revel in endless ecstasies. The never ending stamina Vali possessed certainly came in handy.

Calithil had her face buried in Valis chest, she had her arms and legs wrapped around him like a koala. Her breaths were steady and calm, her body littered with kiss marks.

“Hey sleepy” Vali greeted and kissed her forehead. He would’ve closed the blinds to save himself the discomfort but how could he dare move her?

She looks up and smiles at him tiredly “you know I like tea more…coffee is gross to me” Calithil hums leaning into the kiss savoring the tenderness of it. Her arms and legs unlatched themselves from him and she stretches herself out.

“Yeah but, you had a long night…and quite a bit of tequila” Vali teased as he reluctantly let her go, already missing her warmth as she stretched out.

After stretching herself out she quickly burrows her way into the covers wanting to be warm again. Cocooning herself in blankets Calithil speaks. “That would be nice thank you…by the way…”
