Iâm def very new to comics, but this page is such an improvement! I never wouldâve been able to fitâthree, four, fiveâNINE PANELS!? NINE PANELS IN ONE PAGE! THATâS ME, THAT WAS ME! My highest was five just two years ago holy shit!

I think about this a lot, because what stopped me from progressing in writing (and even quitting for a bit) was the specific NEED to write something trendy or mainstream so that OTHER PEOPLE will read your work
If someone wants to read a particular story with specific characters with a trendy plot with this chapter and that chapter and this that blah blah blah! Yk what they should do?

It doesnât matter if itâs good or not according to someone else, thatâs YOUR creation and YOU should be proud of it just because you made it and did your best to give it your all. I started enjoying writing again because Iâve been 1) taking my time, and 2) not worried about what other people think of my story and writing.
This story is for ME and if some people like it, thatâs awesome sauce! If some donât, thatâs fine too, just donât make it my problem; be mature and just donât read my story. I donât care if I didnât do what YOU wanted to do, Iâm not gonna cater towards someone from out of nowhere thatâs telling me my storyâs no good. Itâs intentional for it to be this way and if you donât understand it, no worries, but donât make it into a situation where you tell me Iâm wrong for writing my story that way. Write your own if you care soooooo much.
With this breath of fresh air, Iâve been motivated to keep going and keep writing. New ideas come all the time! Iâm able to discover things about myself that I havenât before (especially because Iâm at an emotional stage in my life) and thatâs what I want to write about. Iâm free to make my own decisions with writing and I donât give two flying fucks if it meets the trends.
This is my opinion, if the mainstream loves it, itâs not good. âWe can make any trope and/or scenario work. We just need to know how to execute it, thatâs where the story really makes or breaksâ âMy Sister, Shaf.
I feel that anything can work but the mainstream falls flat whenever they DO show a trope on the big screen because they never actually CARE about the story, they only care about views or the trend. Fuck the mainstream/trends, I donât care to meet that standard because itâs beneath my storytelling abilities in the first place, Iâm not afraid to say that.
Iâm not gonna try and make my story fit in if it doesnât make me happy, Iâll write my story and feel good doing so! It doesnât matter if itâs considered garbage, Iâm happy and whoâs gonna raise their brow when Iâm showing that Iâm proud of my work. People on the internet are way too hard on themselves when it comes to creative work, fanfiction exists for a reason, come on!

Iâve been working away on an MFIP illustration that I canât spoil at the moment, and then switched gears to do some more concept art and sketches for SitP. So uh, âšbeholdâš
Really happy with this one! I was focusing a lot more on character concept designs but I got SUUUPER bored of the same thing, so I thought Iâd practice more comic panel layouts instead. I showed before but I got Steve and Shafâs designs pretty decently thought out (although not finalized) so theyâre kinda the perfect duo to explore more while sharpening my comic skills.
Iâm so new to comics dude but Iâm so proud of myself for this composition! Itâs hard to fit illustrations and text and I underestimated how wide this panel needed to be at first- Hence why Iâm only practicing individual panels now to get a better intuition for them, then I get to move on to page layouts! One step at a time peeps :>

Hi guys! Itâs been a good long bit since I got to finish a piece and show it here. This is one that I did in one go and Iâm genuinely happy with it! I tried nitpicking at it a while ago but couldnât help but say, âThis was made out of love and sorrow, why am I harsh on it?â So my worries faded and I wanted to show it.
This story behind the scenes is going great too, things are starting to solidify with characters and plotâI want to get this out of the way because itâs been aching in my brain: this storyâs gonna be a hard one for me to write, emotionally. Iâve noticed that things are a lot harder for me to express and being able to have that freedom to do so is making me both excited and scared. Nonetheless, Iâm very pleased with it and I think my darling needs some love when it comes to showing her as our protagonist. While I drew this, I was holding back lots of tears because of the emotional rollercoaster thatâs gonna happen since this is a lot more close to home than I originally thought it would be.

Not that I think all marriages are doomed but when deciding who to marry you should ask yourself âis this someone Iâd want to divorce?â As in, is this someone I believe would be mature and fair, even when theyâre upset and donât particularly like me at the moment. Is this someone I could continue to trust while going through an adversarial process? And if the answer is no, donât marry them.
Also, this isnât necessarily saying you should break up with your partner immediately. The message is to wait to marry them until you can work on those problems together, and then you should. If you canât or wonât, then donât marry them at all.

Updatarooni folks! So weâre nearly done with the Arc: Both bonuses and Chapter 13 are completely written! All thatâs left is to edit the bonus after Ch 13, and then write and edit Ch 14. Iâm super excited to post them, itâs almost done! :D

Itâs my birthday! I didnât have anything planned for this day since Shafâs not out of finals yet (poor soulâ), but I thought it would be nice to share some concept art for my Rise fic! Ideas are happening and theyâre being drawn and written out~! This is genuinely so fricking exciting to develop and actually figure out while Iâm enjoying my life and seeing things for how they actually are. I havenât been posting much either since I want to take these things less seriously and actually have fun rather than force myself to get things done; this isnât a professional project, why the rush?
Iâve been aching to actually tell my OCâs story, sheâs been a delight to work on. Everyday is a debate on if I should share, but I think showing her in concept art has been the best. Look at her, Parvanaâs in her own world. I canât wait for more elements to play out and show how Parvana goes about their journey! AAAAA ITâS JUST SO FUN IâM MOTIVATED! Look at these ideas too! Parvana sitting and looking at something, amazed but interested, why though? The other one, a wide shot but whatâs going on? Thatâs for later on when the story is getting posted that will be giving the answers. I love doing symbolism and using colors to convey the meaning/mood of these stills.
Silly fun fact: The first drawing of Parvana in the car, those wonât be the actual colors! Yes! This was a test run because I thought to wrap my head around what was supposed to be the mood, so I tried experimenting a bit with the colors, the finalized colors look different so donât be too surprised~ Itâs a red herring so you donât see the final thing yet, Ahhhh!! Figured it would be fun to also show this version because itâs quite stunning to look at, I had lots of fun using these colors and trying to blend them. A little secret Iâll hand out there is that these colors arenât the canon ones thatâll be in the finalized piece HOWEVER, these colors areâŠobjective to whatâs going on⊠DUN DUN DUN! WHAT DO I MEAN?!? TEEHEE IâLL STOP RIGHT THERE AND KEEP THE GUESSES COMING~! Iâm not afraid to spoil (like previously said) so thatâs why Iâm sharing! Hope itâs fun to look at while Parvana keeps looking out the distance for the next billion light years (when will she come out! never! >:3)
Iâm planning on finishing arcs before I post each chapter, it works for my head and lack of self-control too. This will be exciting since Iâm planning on making this a mixed media project where itâs a fic, comic, and sometimes Iâll make even more wacky things out of it! Thisâll be a fun project to have, so Iâm taking my sweet time and in the meantime enjoy the little things, such as my birthday! Iâm gonna do 2012, but I donât know yet if Iâll do MM (didnât really get inspired). Promi and I have a lil lore to share about each Salena but thatâs after I draw them all!

Something very healing about updating Salenaâs design and giving them more of my unconventional features. She has my tooth gaps, my puffy lower lids, my body hair. She looks like me, even the things I thought were super pretty but got called ugly for. It helps me remember how beautiful I am because of these features; I wouldnât be me without them and neither would Salena :3

Decided I wanted to make a post to keep track of all the projects I wanna do in my life. These are stories I know Iâm gonna work on eventually; I just have a system where Iâm only doing two big projects at the same time. Itâll prevent me from getting overwhelmed lmao, although Iâll definitely still be lightly developing all of them in the back of my head. Anywhizzle, this is to keep a record of everything and a short description for funsies. Itâs mainly for myself, but I thought itâd be cool to have it on my blog free for anyone to take a peep at!
Also, all of these have a self insert OC because I enjoy it, so feel free to enjoy it with me~!
Moths Fly In Packs (In Progress)
Currently the Main Project. Rise of the TMNT continuation fanfic focusing on an OC Salena Moni to tell the narrative I never got to share before: my own. Found family and coming of age exploring what it actually means to be full of love in a world that keeps promoting hate.
Stuck in the Parallels (In Development)
Currently the Secondary Project. Comic series rewriting Stranger Things to fix all the gripes I have with it in a more productive way than screaming ripping my hair out. Taking place in the early 90âs, story follows an OC Shafia, and reimagined versions of Steve, Dustin, and Max as the four main characters. Other characters are focused on too, but using a hierarchy method. Main point of the story is to use Sci-Fi horror and dystopian worlds to criticize the difference between Community vs. Society.
What Remains of Eddie Finch
Sort of fanfic for the game What Remains of Edith Finch to explore a few more generations down the Finch family through an adopted Finch, Eddie. How would it feel to be adopted into a family and looped into their curse? Story would be executed through a novel form, probably 3rd person. Self insert is actually a love interest, Serafina, with the OC Eddie Finch being the main character!

Based on a dream I had, Slasher tropes blended with Lovecraftian dread to create an original horror story. Would like to dabble into a world of pessimism and Western horror being thrown into the ideals of Wrong Place, Wrong Time. Self insert and main character is named Nikki. My dream already had a male lead and I remember his name being East Aervon. He has a sister whoâs part of the cast named Julie Aervon. My dream showed it as a movie trailer, in my head I imagine it as a T.V show, in execution itâs gonna be a novel. Likely 3rd person again; Iâm more sure for this one than for Eddie Finch.
[Untitled Horror Game]
Forgot to mention this one but itâs another project that came from a dream! Itâs a story-based horror game starring [a currently unnamed] OC going into a suspicious hotel full of Eldritch-inspired monsters. Sheâs an investigative journalist. This will definitely be my biggest learning curve for a project because itâs a whole ass original video game, so Iâll have to teach myself a good chunk of skills before I can get to it. In the meantime, Iâll be developing the lore here and there. The gameplay will be in 3rd person, but the cutscenes will be in 1st person!

OH MY GOD HELLO???? DAYUMMMM I AM SO EXCITED EEEEEE!!! I love how all projects feel so connected as if theyâre connected to the soul of the author, dabbling into each aspect in different ways to make unique paths (gives off a butterfly effect vibe).
