Hello Mothers and Fuckers, it appears I have lied to all of us myself included cuz I ended up getting a vision for a whole ass page layout from that one panel and I wanted to test it out. Dear god is this the coolest thing I’ve done yet—

I’m def very new to comics, but this page is such an improvement! I never would’ve been able to fit—three, four, five—NINE PANELS!? NINE PANELS IN ONE PAGE! THAT’S ME, THAT WAS ME! My highest was five just two years ago holy shit!

If someone wants to read a particular story with specific characters with a trendy plot with this chapter and that chapter and this that blah blah blah! Yk what they should do?

✨Write it themselves✨

It doesn’t matter if it’s good or not according to someone else, that’s YOUR creation and YOU should be proud of it just because you made it and did your best to give it your all. I started enjoying writing again because I’ve been 1) taking my time, and 2) not worried about what other people think of my story and writing.

This story is for ME and if some people like it, that’s awesome sauce! If some don’t, that’s fine too, just don’t make it my problem; be mature and just don’t read my story. I don’t care if I didn’t do what YOU wanted to do, I’m not gonna cater towards someone from out of nowhere that’s telling me my story’s no good. It’s intentional for it to be this way and if you don’t understand it, no worries, but don’t make it into a situation where you tell me I’m wrong for writing my story that way. Write your own if you care soooooo much.

With this breath of fresh air, I’ve been motivated to keep going and keep writing. New ideas come all the time! I’m able to discover things about myself that I haven’t before (especially because I’m at an emotional stage in my life) and that’s what I want to write about. I’m free to make my own decisions with writing and I don’t give two flying fucks if it meets the trends.

This is my opinion, if the mainstream loves it, it’s not good. “We can make any trope and/or scenario work. We just need to know how to execute it, that’s where the story really makes or breaks” —My Sister, Shaf.

I feel that anything can work but the mainstream falls flat whenever they DO show a trope on the big screen because they never actually CARE about the story, they only care about views or the trend. Fuck the mainstream/trends, I don’t care to meet that standard because it’s beneath my storytelling abilities in the first place, I’m not afraid to say that.

I’m not gonna try and make my story fit in if it doesn’t make me happy, I’ll write my story and feel good doing so! It doesn’t matter if it’s considered garbage, I’m happy and who’s gonna raise their brow when I’m showing that I’m proud of my work. People on the internet are way too hard on themselves when it comes to creative work, fanfiction exists for a reason, come on!

Really happy with this one! I was focusing a lot more on character concept designs but I got SUUUPER bored of the same thing, so I thought I’d practice more comic panel layouts instead. I showed before but I got Steve and Shaf’s designs pretty decently thought out (although not finalized) so they’re kinda the perfect duo to explore more while sharpening my comic skills.

Issue 1 better come fast cuz it honestly looks like that Steve’s gonna have some issues with you— (ba dum tss)

You interpret subtle expressions in the best way possible, Salena’s so pretty and stunning under the moon but what secrets must she hold? I can’t help but not look away from that mellow look on their face. Certainly looks like a Disney Princess, and acts like it too!

I have my last final exam tomorrow so wish me luck lmao. It’s quantum physics 💀 Buuuuut I get to do my first ever research project over the summer AND FINISH CHAPTER 14 WITH NO HEADACHES WOOP WOOOOP! She looks so damn sweet and pretty! I love this realistic approach to her, it adds this spark of personal touches to her as a person but also keeping her as stunning as ever!

Decided I wanted to make a post to keep track of all the projects I wanna do in my life. These are stories I know I’m gonna work on eventually; I just have a system where I’m only doing two big projects at the same time. It’ll prevent me from getting overwhelmed lmao, although I’ll definitely still be lightly developing all of them in the back of my head. Anywhizzle, this is to keep a record of everything and a short description for funsies. It’s mainly for myself, but I thought it’d be cool to have it on my blog free for anyone to take a peep at!

Also, all of these have a self insert OC because I enjoy it, so feel free to enjoy it with me~!

Moths Fly In Packs (In Progress)

Currently the Main Project. Rise of the TMNT continuation fanfic focusing on an OC Salena Moni to tell the narrative I never got to share before: my own. Found family and coming of age exploring what it actually means to be full of love in a world that keeps promoting hate.

Stuck in the Parallels (In Development)

Currently the Secondary Project. Comic series rewriting Stranger Things to fix all the gripes I have with it in a more productive way than screaming ripping my hair out. Taking place in the early 90’s, story follows an OC Shafia, and reimagined versions of Steve, Dustin, and Max as the four main characters. Other characters are focused on too, but using a hierarchy method. Main point of the story is to use Sci-Fi horror and dystopian worlds to criticize the difference between Community vs. Society.

What Remains of Eddie Finch

Sort of fanfic for the game What Remains of Edith Finch to explore a few more generations down the Finch family through an adopted Finch, Eddie. How would it feel to be adopted into a family and looped into their curse? Story would be executed through a novel form, probably 3rd person. Self insert is actually a love interest, Serafina, with the OC Eddie Finch being the main character!

Kayak

Based on a dream I had, Slasher tropes blended with Lovecraftian dread to create an original horror story. Would like to dabble into a world of pessimism and Western horror being thrown into the ideals of Wrong Place, Wrong Time. Self insert and main character is named Nikki. My dream already had a male lead and I remember his name being East Aervon. He has a sister who’s part of the cast named Julie Aervon. My dream showed it as a movie trailer, in my head I imagine it as a T.V show, in execution it’s gonna be a novel. Likely 3rd person again; I’m more sure for this one than for Eddie Finch.
