Julie Plec talking on Stefan’s phone call (TVD S03E01)

This is one of the reasons why Kevin needs to come back. I loved that scene and it captured so much. I don’t think Julie is that invested in Stefan’s narrative (I only see her excited when she’s talking about Caroline becoming his new “Lexi”) as she is in Damon.

Male Fan: Are you comfortable with Paul kissing Nina and stuff like that?

Torrey (loudly): Oh yeah! I actually watch sometimes.

Paul (very amused): Do tell more. All excited.

Torrey: I actually critique…I’m like, you know Paul, you need to stroke her hair this way and not that way (gesturing my mussing up her hair) and move her face that way. No, of course I’m comfortable. I think it’s because we do the same thing…so it makes it, you know….I don’t make out with Nina too, that’s not what I’m saying but- (audience cracking up)

Paul: This is so uncomfortable.

Torrey (in a voice): Awkwaaard.

Paul (to the fan): Hey, thanks a lot for this question.

Torrey: No, it’s not that. You just want to end it when you do it as well. It’s nothing.

Paul: Yeah, we actually talk about this all the time. It’s just our profession. So from the outside perspective, it may look ‘Oh, this is so-‘….but for us, it’s a job and we play different characters. It’s part of a character’s journey.

Torrey: Every love scene is so technical too.

Paul: There’s nothing romantic about it.

Torrey: Even if you want it to be romantic, you couldn’t. It’s not.

Paul: It’s the most unsexy thing in the world.

Male Fan (to Torrey): I would ask if I can get a hug from you, but I’m pretty sure they won’t let me on the stage.

Paul: On second thoughts, you probably shouldn’t ask. I’ll stop you right there.
