【 Ⅲ— ミリオンダラーベイビー 】:
his sarcasm rarely ever bothers her – she knows him well enough to know he has never been much of a people person. her gaze stays on her book, as she turns the page, eyes scanning the text, excited to read onwards. “Care to take a seat? or do you plan to slouch there for a while?” she already so familiar with his posture, she doesn’t need to look at him to know what he is doing there behind her. Just to prove herself right, she finally turns to look at him. The ghost of a grin never once fades away.
“Your favorite chair is open, too.” The one she used to catch him snoozing in when they were younger, to the right of her.
“Tch.”
The click of his tongue is all he gives as a response before walking over to the chair he was so familiar with. Dropping down into it he leans back and stares at the ceiling with half open eyes that fought to stay awake. Sleep had never been an ally to him, not after the incident, but being back at the dorm and seeing Ken every day only made it that much worse. Sleep was plagued with nightmares so real he’d jolt out of bed in a cold sweat. So instead he fought off sleep for as long as possible before having to confront it.
His own thoughts were interrupted by the loud sound of muffled footsteps running back and forth from above them along with several muffled yells, some of laughter and others not so much. And just like that Shinjiro was back to being grumpy about the whole situation. “That idiot...” His voice coming out as a low growl. Part of him wished he had something he could throw at the ceiling. While ultimately being futile it’d be nice to get the anger out. “He’s supposed to set an example for them. The hell is Aki doing antagonizing them like that?”
