When the Prince Motor Company was an independent car maker, their design head, Takeshi Inoue, collaborated with Italian Franco Scaglione to create a sports car based on a shortened Prince Skyline saloon chassis. The Prince Sprint 1900 Prototype was presented at the 10th Tokyo Motor Show in 1963. The company’s precarious financial position prevented it from entering production, and Nissan had no interest in reviving the project after their takeover in 1966.
