i get this one all the time dw LOL, i gotchu. its pronounced "dilly", like "silly". it was originally spelled "dilly", then "dill e." as a CEC joke, then i changed it to dille for ease of use

Nintendo appears to have had a completely different attitude towards NES educational title Donkey Kong Jr. Math between Japan and America.

Top: in a 1986 interview, Shigeru Miyamoto claimed that Donkey Kong Jr. Math was a "rip-roaring good time" and "super popular among the staff at Nintendo", referring to the Nintendo Japan development staff.

Bottom: according to Bruce Lowry, former vice president of sales at Nintendo of America from 1981 to 1986, Donkey Kong Jr. Math was among the worst games the company released.

Please note that while the times and circumstances of the interviews differ, with the first being done closer to release when it was still in Nintendo's interest to promote the game, while the second interview focuses on the game's sales and public perception decades after, Donkey Kong Jr. Math is mentioned very rarely to begin with and it is curious how different these statements are from each other.

In Mario Kart 7, Wario Shipyard contains a "Banana Bounce Trench" where all bananas thrown into it will bounce for up to a minute before disappearing.

This is due to the invisible floor of the trench being mistakenly designated as a wall in the code, and bananas being coded to bounce off walls. Normally a banana will only bounce off a wall once or twice before landing on the floor, but if the floor itself is defined as a wall, the banana will bounce indefinitely until it despawns.

Regarding the Patricia Taxxon stuff; even if a lot about her is made up, there's still plenty of proof that she's in the wrong here. Hbomberguy vague tweeted with something she actually said, and then she jumped on it and escalated the situation. And now she's literally trying to say she's done nothing wrong at all, and a lot of the people defending her are lying and deliberately misrepresenting the situation.

seems like a bit of a divided thing. i still think she should be paid fairly but it felt weirdly lopsided. thanks!

you ARE falling for a trick. patricia had been mass harassed & stalked for more than 5 years at this point, and everything she ever said is being scrutinized and taken out of context, and theres a lot straight made up against her

i suppose. From the real stuff I’ve seen though the transmisandry stuff seems pretty yikes, that’s the thing im kinda hung up on. i was told it was more because of someone she had a squabble with but that doesn’t excuse prejudice

i originally found out who she was when she made a post that sounded like she was defending lolicon and i quoted it on bsky cuz i thought it was weird but i was like "maybe i misinterpreted this"

but then i look here where she was first apparently and every other post about her is "people are bullying her!" and "theres a transmisogyny cult against her" but then i look at the other side and its like...defending rape and hating trans men for some reason. am i just dumb? am i falling for a trick?
