seeing hinami by ayato’s side being happy with him brings me more happiness than i can explain. i see people upset over ishida not making them canon but tbh this is better than if ishida had written that they got together without showing them happy together. if ishida had written something similar to what he did for banjou, i would have hated it. it makes me a little upset when all people care about is if they’re together, without realizing that what we got already has a lot of meaning.
i also think ayahina are really taking it slow. i know they’re like 24/25 now but that was when touken got together and they rushed into a relationship because of circumstances. ayahina has no reason too. they both are probably really busy as well and whenever they’re free i think they spend their time together– hinami taking ayato on shopping trips, ayato dragging her along to visit touken and pleasure-chan. it might sound like friendship, but i think it’s because that was what their relationship originated from. this is my opinion of course, but that little kid conversation feels like ishida teasing us that they will eventually get together and have kids of their own as well. but there’s no rush, there’s a lot of us in mid-20s who aren’t married or with someone. i feel like that was the point of it all.
also this chapter is really cute, like they’re all part of the united front, but ayato and hinami didn’t go to touken’s place together with shuu and the rest. they were going alone and they only bumped into hide coincidentally. it really feels like they spend more time together than with everyone else. and hinami teasing him so openly, giggling around with him and watching him with a smile as he plays with pleasure isn’t even subtle. she realises how important he is to her already and i’m sure she has no plans of being apart from him anymore.
tldr: ayahina is perfect, i love them, i love the way ishida did them in this chapter, it’s so much better than a simple ‘they got together’
