âAnd where do you think youâre going⌠My little mouse?â
Every word dripped with venom that left the Colonelâs mouth.
Scrambling out of the room, you headed for the door, thinking he was behind you. Heart racing, you lept down the stairs as fast your trembling legs could take you. Seeing the door, it looked as if you were going to make it.
You let out a surprised cry when the door flung open. The door revealing a grinning Hans Landa with his arms wide open.
You tried to skid to a stop, but he already had his arms around you. âYou found me!â He laughed as you wiggled and squirmed in his arms. He dragged you back into the house, bringing you back towards the living room. âDid you really think Iâd let you get away? After what I saw?â He bit out the words with bitter scorn. He dropped you into the blue and gray floral lounge couch.
âNo? Are you trying to tell me that I didnât see you within the arms of another man the other day?â
You looked up at him with anger, yet looking for remorse. You looked into those dark hazel eyes, looking for any sign of softness or the usual playfulness he shared with you. Yet, all you could see was jealousy, possessiveness, and betrayal. âHans, that was my brother.â You spoke in a hushed tone.
He raised his brows, but his expression remained the same harsh way. Waiting for you to explain further.
âHe came down from Berlin to visit me, I hadnât seen him in over a year. Of course Iâm going to hug him!â
âOh, but what of the other man I saw you with last night? Let me see⌠What was his name?â He rubbed the side of his defined jaw in mocking thought, âoh yes. Major Erik Schauster, was it?â
Your eyes widened at the name.
His grin expanded, âIt seems Iâm correct? And what little excuse will you give for this young man? Or is this another brother?â
He suddenly leaned over you, placing both hands on either side of the couch to trap you inside. He leaned in close enough until you could see your reflection within his pupils. âMust I remind you, [y/n], who you belong to?â
You swallowed what bit of pride and bravery you could muster and whispered, âI belong to no one.â
He froze at your words. Stunned for a second.
Now your deepest fears had reached another level of terror at the sudden change of look in his eyes.
An aura of something predatory, something primal over came him. He reached out slowly and smoothed his hand up your arm, your shoulder and slid his fingers to the racing pulse of your heart beat in your throat.
A grin of sure malice split his face as he whispered back, âI beg to differ, my dear. You do.â
He slid you back into the seat, grabbing you by your shoulders and pulled you into a deep, harsh kiss that left you wanting more. His right hand slid down your waist to grasp your hip and press you closer to him, grinding himself against you. You whimpered into the kiss, shivering at the desire you craved for him. You fell back into the couch as he crawled over you, as lithe as a cat. His chuckle was low and deep in his chest as he pressed kisses along your throat, biting and niping enough to tear a squeal from you. He ran his tongue along the shell of your ear and whispered, âI promise you, [y/n]⌠You will be screaming who you belong to before the night is over.â
Heat pooled in your belly at the thought of his words and you squirmed excitedly as he began to crawl down your body, towards his next goal. He was right. He was always right. The hawk always got what he wantedâŚ
