I don’t think I ever posted the full comic where moomin straight up confesses he likes snufkin but “one doesn’t say it”, a problem he’s never had with snorkmaiden or anyone else before. I think about this constantly. and the thought of snufkin purposely leaving flower trails behind all so moomin can find him is so cute.

snufkin:

in every adaptation of “the last dragon on earth” the point of the dragon is that it’s a metaphor for moomin and snufkin’s relationship and how they typically treat eachother regarding snufkin being a vagabond

moomin fawns over the dragon and wants to keep it all to himself (except for snufkin) and doesn’t want it to leave even if it’s in its nature to be wild and free

snufkin likes and thinks the dragon is cute, and he thinks it’d be nice to take it on his trip south with him, but he won’t because just because he’s fond of the dragon, that doesn’t mean he wants it around all the time (and the dragon only cares about snufkin and just wants to be close to him constantly, kinda like someone else)

most of that is just loosely taken from the original book! there’s also the part where moominmama forbids anyone from finding out his secret
