Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan is famous for its delicious seafood. There are several fish markets in the region, and I visited one of them, the “Yaizu Fish Center.” It was filled with fresh fish for sale, and I had the chance to enjoy plenty of sashimi and sushi🍣✨The section where whole crabs were lined up was especially impressive🦀‼️

On January 11th in Japan, there is a traditional event called “Kagami-biraki.” During Kagami-biraki, the “Kagami-mochi,” a decorative rice cake placed in the home since January 1st, is broken and eaten. The rice cakes can be enjoyed in various ways, such as being grilled or added to soups, all of which are delicious! In the illustration, the rice cake is being eaten in “oshiruko,” a traditional Japanese dish where sweet red bean paste is dissolved in hot water.
