Times Square from NY Times Building, 1922
“I don’t believe in words. In general, people lie, they don’t tell the truth. The truth lies in what’s hidden, in what’s not told. Reality lies in the unspoken part of our lives. If you try to talk about your problems, it’s not that convincing. People try to protect themselves; everybody has something they want to hide. They try to hide their weak side. When they tell you a story, they make themselves the hero of that story. So without words is better, and it allows the spectator to be more active; he should use his own experience in trying to solve…”

I just finished putting together Issue 24 of the magazine! After a busy summer following the release of the last issue and the Currents gallery shows, I’m so glad to finally share this one with you all! I wrapped up this issue while staying with my friends behind the publisher TXTbooks in Brooklyn and have spent the past week laying out the issue from Logan Fitzpatrick’s bedroom while he’s been out of town. This issue would not be possible without the patience and generosity of so many people that I’ve met through doing the magazine, and it’s incredible to know that there are friends around the country willing to help. This issue is coming out a little later than I hoped because of a new newspaper project I launched through my job at Danger Collective Records, but I’m still so proud of the end result none the less. So many great pieces were sent in for this issue, and I finally have the opportunity to share some interviews from this year that I’ve been eager to publish. I had such a pleasure working on this issue, and I hope you get pleasure out of reading through it! I plan on taking another little break before starting the next issue, so keep your eyes peeled for something new later next year! :)
