Talk about a Power(Up) Couple! ⚽️ 🦢💕 Jiji Aira Commission for acclaimed Jiji Fan @timesheets-guru!! Had the pleasure of working with a writer's hand to make a Fighting dance scene from his fic Their Little Alien come to life! Thank you again for the support (and patience given my tech trouble) 🙏!
JijiAira delulu AU
I've had this hc for the longest time where Jiji became a famous footballer and for his dream football team: Zaint-Germain FC, and after a series of fortunate coincidences, he finds out Aira is living in Paris too, but in a world as far from football as you can imagine: She is a curator for a certain famous French Museum.
They realize that they have many things in common and they start this secret relationship to avoid the tabloids. However, Jiji soon realizes that the main difference between Aira and his other “bimbos” (as Aira would call it) is that Aira not only looked like she belonged in a world under the spotlight, but was born for it. If there was anyone who could manage a life like that, that would be her. So of course, they get married and have children. Oh and Aira lowkey becomes his PR manager because she is not letting other “hoes” get close to her man LOL
I want to write this story so bad, but I have so many WIPs already... I don't know if I'll ever be able to finish them ;-;
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my delusions xD
So, I have fallen in love with a new pairing of Jiji/Aira on Dandadan (there must be a diagnosis for these kind of fixations)
I am at the point where I have seen everything there was to see on Pinterest, already have written a fanfic myself over a week as if there was no tomorrow, and now reading stories on ao3 in Spanish through google translator.
I am also at the point of life where I am inspired to try drawing something more from my imagination rather than completely from reference, despite lack of skill and experience!😂
So here are some doodles (can’t really call it a fanart) for something I had in my mind for the last week. I wish I was capable of drawing good, because I have so much inspiration and so many scenes in my mind, but imagination vs reality/outcome hits hard😭
Anyway, this is how I found that if I am drawing on a flight, I am so concentrated I don’t worry about the turbulence AT ALL and notice the time only once the plane touches the ground again. Wonderful life-hack, will use it from now on.
P.s. dear old lady that was sitting next to me, please don’t judge me, I am no pervert I promise you. It is just that Jiji/Aira/Evil Eye has awakened in me something I didn’t know I had 🥲
Aira Character study - post rejection theory
‼️ This post contains spoilers for the current events in DanDaDan manga ⚠️
I have a theory/ head canon regarding Aira’s character development after Okarun rejects her (which, I think we can all agree is inevitable).
Something I actually really liked about this current arc is how determined and direct Aira is with her crush. I know some people judge her as being “forcing herself” onto Okarun, but I don’t think that’s the case.
Aira is someone who, using Okarun’s words, puts in an incredible amount of effort in everything she does: her popularity, her training (seen during Space Globalists’ arc and the Daizukan fan book), piano, and her relationships. So, in my opinion, I think it makes complete sense that she is so forward about her feelings towards Okarun and seeks every opportunity she has to hold his hand or compliment him, even if she isn’t very good at “reading the room”.
I think it will be very interesting to see where Tatsu-sensei takes her character development after her inevitable rejection, but something I actually would LOVE to see, as painful as it’d be, is to see her “regress” in this aspect: the once direct, headstrong, popular leader, now is more… doubtful, maybe even insecure in things she’s always been confident about.
For those who have been in that “side of the coin”, the side of rejection or non-reciprocated love, it is something that can actually stick with you. It changes the perspective of how you see and approach the world.
I’m not saying I want Aira to BE insecure forever, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I want Tatsu to show us the “cracks in her confidence”, especially if he is planning to give her her own romantic interest at some point in the story (which, delusions aside, I honestly believe it will be Jiji, with maybe a very very small chance of being Zuma instead but unlikely). Not to mention, it would be a great opportunity to contrast how she used to react towards her crush (direct, confident) vs how she’d be dealing with her ACTUAL love interest (reserved, cautious, shy even, which I am willing to bet one month of my insignificant salary it will be Jiji).
Of course, we can only wait and see how the plot unfolds. As of right now, there are still way too many many pieces that need to fall into place so it’s too early to predict what will happen with all of these characters. That said, I think Tatsu has proven to be a mastermind in romance plots and I truly truly believe Momo and Okarun won’t be the only pairing of the group, we just need to patient and let him cook.
thank you all for reading 🫰🏼

Probably in the minority on this, but I really want to know about Ragno's background. What kind of parents does he have? Was he set up to be the new Dragon Striker his whole life? Was he always so power hungry? Genuinely curious.
I don't thinkany of this has been addressed yet, but I'm only at episode seven, so maybe it has
I like Ragno's little surprised face here.
I’m watching the JijiAira vision and I refuse to believe I’m alone in this
they’re the “he’s obsessed with how amazing his girlfriend is” trope and I love it 😭
May I interest you in another JijiAira Headcanon?
The other day I saw a tweet that triggered one of my deepest JijiAira headcanons: The classic “if we’re both single when we are 30, we should get married” pact.
In this hc, they don’t immediately end up together after the series ends, but they become the best of friends after they both got rejected by the MCs and stayed really close friends throughout high school/college/early adulthood.
I can see them having the kind of friendship where they know everything about each other: crushes, heartbreaks, pet-peeves, etc. Hell, they might even be wingman/wingwoman to each other, but always staying on the “safe side” of their friendship.
It would be possible that, at some point, maybe the thought of dating each other crossed their minds, and maybe one (or both of them) had feelings for each other but never made any real moves. They’d joke about it, occasionally. Their friends (including the dandagang) would tease them about it too. They’d say that they already act like an old married couple (since they are always seen hanging out together and doing couple things like having their own rituals to watch movies or ‘catering’ new restaurants). But Jiji and Aira just dismiss it as friendly “bullying”, because, after all, they really are “just friends”.
Then, one day, after they both broke up with their respective s/o. They go up to the rooftop of Jiji’s apartment and have one of those heart-to-heart, late-night conversations about how terrible their luck is when it comes to romance (bc they obviously have cliché moments like this).
A half-empty bottle of wine, the sound of a shuffled song from Aira’s carefully curated Spotify playlist playing through her cellphone’s speaker, and a gentle breeze caressing their hair. Everything is normal between them. Just two friends making fun of each other’s romantic misfortunes and poor timing.
Then, absentmindedly, Aira just lets the following words slip out of her mouth:
“We should just date each other and be done with it.”
Jiji raises an eyebrow in her direction, unsure whether it is her or the wine speaking. The wine most likely.
“What, you’re giving up so easily, Shiratori?” (Since she never stopped calling him Enjoji, he decided to call her that whenever he teased her to sound “more serious”).
“No, but look at us! We are getting butchered out there! It’s NOT worth it”. She finishes with a frustrated groan as her body deflates against the rail like a total drama queen.
Jiji takes a sip of his wine and looks at her, smiling like he is up to no good. He isn’t.
“Okay, what about this? If by the time we turn 30 we are both single and without prospects, we’ll get married”
She looks at him suspiciously, half-skeptical, half-interested, but surprisingly responds without scoffing:
“Make it 29 and you’ll have a deal” she says, raising her glass with businesslike flair.
Jiji just looks at her attentively, trying to hide his surprise behind a playful grin.
“Why 29?” He asks, curious. Because that’s what catches his attention. Not the fact that his best friend, whether she is aware of it or not, just accepted the most nonchalant marriage proposal ever.
She looks at him and smiles, teasing, as if the answer was as obvious as the difference between night and day.
“Because I want to get married before I’m 30, duh…”
The silence lasts a total of 3 seconds before both of them just break into laughter, but once the night is over, they never talk about it again. The idea was probably dismissed as just another half-drunken conversation of youth.
Time passes.
They graduate college, start their careers, meet new people. They fall in and out of love again and again. Neither of them are making any progress towards the whole marriage shenanigans. However, their friendship stays the same. Despite the cruelty of the adult world, they continue to be close friends.
And then, before they noticed… time catches up to them. Sneaky and treacherous, as time usually is.
Aira had almost completely forgotten about their little “pact” when, a couple of days after she turned 29, she received a text message, or rather a photo, from Jiji.
It was a selfie of him in front of a jewellery store, holding a small bag tied with an exquisite red ribbon in front of the camera. The caption: “We are 29 and single. Marry me?”

Key Nagatatsu fanart
I really really love this series. The characters are so lovely and the story is so engaging! The studio did such an amazing job! The visuals blew me away and they deserve all the praise!
The fandom is still forming hello guys! :3
You know, something about Gorotama as a sport that's bothering me is the apparent lack of protective gear? Like, we see some for sure, but it doesn't seem like there's any regulation saying you have to wear shoes or something protecting your chest/torso and there's NO face or head protection? Which to my (very limited so correct me if I'm wrong) knowledge of sports isn't really a thing in soccer. But like, Gorotama seems to allow contact/violence, and you'd think there would be a rule saying the goalkeepers who are being bombarded with a ball going mach ten would have to wear some kind of helmet or something.
Like... why are you letting teens play barefoot? Without a shirt? The Bards are the worst for it without a doubt, but it still makes me wonder who's making the rules for this game.
