I think it is extremely important for everyone in the Greek mythology community to know that even though Greeks can have light skin and light hair, and that white supremacists like talking about Ancient Greece and using statues as their profile pictures, it doesn't mean white supremacists actually like Greek people.
White supremacists use Ancient Greece to insert themselves and their beliefs, completely erasing an accurate Ancient Greece and actual Greek people and culture from the narrative. There's a reason why when discussing the casting of Helen in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, they only show pictures of blonde, blue-eyed, Germanic, or Anglo-Saxon women, and never actresses who are actually Greek or of Greek descent. Just like how a black woman playing Helen is an issue to them, a Greek woman playing Helen is also an issue to them.
Since the very beginning of the concept of whiteness, beginning in the 19th century, white supremacists have excluded Greek people from whiteness, like they did for other ethnicities that you may now consider white, such as the Irish and Italians. Whiteness did not exist before the 19th century. When whiteness was conceptualized, it was purposefully created to not just view people native to the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania as lesser than, but to also view other Europeans as lesser than.
Even if Greeks are viewed as white today, white supremacists still won't accept them because their culture does not fit into their vision of whiteness, and they don't accept them as descendants of the Ancient Greeks because they think it is impossible for them to be related to a past where they've inserted their perfect image of white society onto.
They never talk about modern Greece because it preserves some ottoman influence now, or italy (instead of rome) that has had part of its modern territory populated by Arabs, just like Spain and Portugal as well. They pretend ottoman empire, al-andalus and arab sicily never existed because for them all those ancient civilisations are a wet dream based on a nonsensical assumption that all races were were strictly segregated back then. Same reason why they keep bringing up paintings of light skinned early medieval Egyptians as an "evidence" for why Egyptians were always light skinned as if a) Egyptian society wasn't always pretty racially diverse b) racial and cultural composition could not stay the same across thousands of years that dynastic Egypt existed throughout. But conservatives haaaate nuance, if you tell them "well it's complicated" they hear "you're right but im coping". They love to imagine the world where The White Europe + White Egypt (since Cleopatra was white (and inbred) then everyone was white! Obviously. Ignore that she was inbred precisely because Ptolemys were racist to Egyptians) has existed completely isolated from society until it wanted to send merchants or military somewhere (but they did NOT mix with local population! Don't you dare) or bring black/south(east) asian slaves. Because Africa was just a bunch of illiterate guys with wooden spears waiting to be invaded and never had states. Just like the Philippines or India. Obviously! But other than than Europe was a White Happy Family that never discriminated Sami, Uralic peoples, Slavs, didn't have Rome assimilate thousands of independent cultures against their will and never had countries declare their neighbours culturally inferior to invade them. All Europeans are the same exact culture and ethnic composition and ignoring everything that proves otherwise is actually Speaking The Truth No One Wants to Hear. Very convenient
