What's so wrong with Ev and me kissing? Big fucking deal. Me and Evan kissing, ha ha. I think it's funny. They [The National Enquirer] were right with Kurt's ashes because I took them up to Ithaca to the Buddhist monastery so I had them in a teddy bear, which you would do, too. At the time we did that photograph, his sister Holly and his mother, Susan, were both in the room. Milla [Jovovich] the supermodel was in the room. It was stupid. We were just talking about something, someone had a camera, and it was “Let’s kiss!” And, yeah, we’ll see it in like five years. I saw it in five days.

At an airport in New York while going through security some several days earlier around late June 1994, an officer had opened the teddy bear which was wrapped in her wedding dress. "What's this?" he asked as puffs of dusty ash flew up out of the teddy toward the airport's ventilation system.
