Speaking as someone who has a slew of personality and identity issues, I’m not going to reject the entire basis of my being because someone tells me to. This would be different if I were actually some racist slave owner as we speak? But I’m honestly just here to protect my host, who is an extremely traumatized little girl. And if she feels the most comforted, protected, and safe because I am Lestat, I am not changing that.

Yes, I’m aware of that. As the protective alter in a traumagenic system, that is still suffering from an abusive situation, I manifested as someone who my host found comfort in and would feel protected by. I obviously would not condone something as awful as slavery? And I certainly don’t think that black people are inferior to or should be ruled over by white people.
