“Hey, help me out?” Brandi asked sweetly, fluttering her eyelashes comically, as if she was trying extra hard to win their favor (which she kind of was). “What kind of song do you think the world needs next? A love song? A break-up song? A party song? An epic anthem? I’m having trouble deciding what to write.”

“Love songs are kind of commonplace, right? Or really, any songs about relationships? Do something new. Like a fun party song or something, yeah,” Freya agreed, nodding with a grin. “Or just....something to dance to. You’re a dancer, right? You could write up something good for that.”

Jongyeon was often exasperated with his costars and coworkers, but he usually kept it in, under a perfectly crafted smile. Today however, just wasn’t his day. He was annoyed at everything and everyone and finally, he had reached his last when someone bumped into him. He sighed in annoyance and glared at the person who bumped into him. “Watch where you are going!”

It’d been two years since Freya debuted. Granted, next to the other members of Ivory, that wasn’t much, but she’d only had one comeback in all her time at MK. It’d been a while since she’d had a promotion schedule, let alone one this hectic, so she found herself getting a little manic trying to get herself in the right spot at the right time. Jumping a little when she turned a corner and there was already someone right there, she couldn’t stop herself from hitting him. “Sorry. It was an accident,” Freya said, biting her lip.

He hugged her a little closer, wrapping his arms tight around him and rubbing her arm softly. “Okay. What do you want to talk about?” he asked her softly, a grin appearing on his face when she gave her suggestion. “Okay but…think of this: You. Me. Uptown Funk. We would rock a cover of that song. And a dance to it too. It would be so much fun. I don’t even speak English and I know it’d be fun.”

Sighing, she cursed. “Damn, too bad you don’t speak English, Tae. We could plan a stage with I Just Wanna, and instead of having that other guy perform with me, you could do it.” She’d really actually prefer that. The guy she’d been paired with for the song on her album had left the agency a month later. She didn’t even remember his name.

“Please can we get some food?” Taesong pouted, arms crossed as he sat cross-legged on the floor. He was hungry and there was no way he could do anything without eating. His pout remained strong as he glanced in the other’s direction, “I’ve done well for the past half an hour, isn’t that worthy of some food?”

“Okay, so here’s the deal,” Freya mumbled so only he could hear her, a tiny smirk on her face. “You talking about being hungry, my friend, is making me hungry, and well, that’s just plain unacceptable, dude.” She feigned annoyance at him, continuing, “So, to rectify this, we’re going to sneak out of here before you trainer notices.”

Hasik stared in the mirror anxiously, his hand running through his hair. It was so weird having short hair. His hair had been long for, what? Four years, now? He had started growing it out right after UNION’s debut, and this was the first time since then that it had been cut significantly. Dyed too. “Aish…..” he muttered under his breath, putting his hat on quickly. “I miss my long hair,” he said with a pout, scratching his arm. “This is weird. I look weird. I don’t like this.”

“What do you mean?” Freya asked, poking him in the head with a grin. “Like, yeah, your old hair was really nice and all, but it looks really good! You look really good. It’s like a whole transformation for you! Your fans are going to go crazy. Your girlfriend is gonna go crazy. You’ll get used to it...”

Despite the fact that they were in the dance studio for a reason, Yewon couldn’t help the grin that formed at the younger’s antics.  It was cute, seeing her goof off and have fun, but that didn’t mean they could just slack off.  Ivory was scheduled to debut at the end of the next month, and as the leader, she felt responsible for their performance.  “How about a song about dance practice?  You know, the thing we still need to do.”

She sat up, still strumming idly on her ukulele. She was excited to be debuting as part of a group, she really was. But her schedule was crazy now, she had a lot more dancing than she usually did, and Jiyoung still wanted nothing to do with her; saying that things weren’t going so smoothly was an understatement.  Ever the optimist, though, Freya was still trying to find the bright side and a way for everything to work out. “Can I dance with my ukulele? Like play and dance? I think that’d look pretty cool.”

“FREYA HSIAO; I CHALLENGE YOU TO MAKE A SONG ABOUT HOW HANDSOME I AM,” was Taegun’s obnoxiously loud reply, screaming into the empty practice room and dancing around to her strumming. She was so weird. He was…..barely human. There wasn’t a couple that was better matched on the face of the planet. Though, he had to admit, it was probably hard for people who were a little more…normal…to spend time with them.

She laughed, rolling her eyes at him. “KWON TAEGUN, I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO GIVE ME A HARD SUGGESTION!” she yelled back, giggling to herself. She made the intro go much longer than she usually would, just so she could watch his dorky dancing a little longer, and then started singing about how weird and dorky he was with a giant grin on her face.
