Introducing our Sigurd and Fafnir Viking Wall Panel, an exquisite piece of Norse artistry carved from solid oak. This large panel presents the legendary saga of Sigurd the dragon slayer as a unified composition, combining multiple scenes from the myth into a single continuous artwork.

Introducing our Sigurd and Fafnir Viking Ring, a remarkable piece of Norse-inspired jewelry based on the legendary carvings from the right portal plank of the Hylestad Stave Church in Norway.

This handcrafted ring brings to life the heroic saga of Sigurd the Dragonslayer, one of the most legendary figures of Norse mythology. Inspired by medieval Scandinavian woodcarving, the design recreates scenes from the ancient tale preserved in the Volsunga Saga and the Nibelungenlied, transforming Viking history and mythology into a powerful wearable artwork.

✦ The ring features three detailed scenes taken directly from the original Hylestad carving.

✧ The first scene portrays Sigurd and the blacksmith Regin working at the forge as they reforge the legendary sword Gram. According to the saga, the first blade shattered against Regin’s shield, but the newly reforged Gram became so powerful it split the shield, the anvil, and even its horn in a single strike.

✧ The second scene depicts Sigurd holding the completed sword, preparing for his destined battle with the dragon Fafnir. This moment symbolizes courage, destiny, and the transformation of a warrior into a legendary hero.

✧ The third scene captures the dramatic slaying of Fafnir at Gnita Heath. Hidden within a pit beneath the dragon’s path, Sigurd thrusts Gram upward, delivering the fatal blow. According to the legend, after tasting Fafnir’s blood, Sigurd gained the ability to understand the speech of birds, granting him wisdom and insight beyond ordinary men.

Every detail of the ring reflects the flowing lines and intricate style of the original Viking Age inspired woodcarving. Crafted from high quality sterling silver, this ring combines historical symbolism, mythology, and refined craftsmanship into a bold and meaningful statement piece.
