Inside the Toadstool kingdom was the celebration of the fall of the Bowsers, aka the so called "truce" era, even if Bowser wasn't in to a truce. It was peaceful to finally have their peace without any word of Bowser being hangry that day or hearing about the jail giving an update of them. It was just the toads, their Princess, and their heroes. Luigi and Mario.

Over the kingdom was the blasting sun beams, along with small clouds complimenting the blue skies, with the distinct smell of a sweet, sugary aroma along with the earthy scent from the inside of the kingdom. It was a sweet day, really, while Mario and Luigi decided to have a brother day since the welcoming morning sun hit their faces, giving them a nice warm hug on the face.

Luigi smiled softly as he ate his ice cream as he and Mario, along with Toad and Yoshi, alongside the market alley. Mario raised an eyebrow at Luigi's messy eating and reached over to wipe off his brother's covered faced. "Lu, come on, at least eat politely outside the house," the older brother pleaded, "it's for the best."

Luigi chuckled, swatting his brother's hand away as he said, "Mar-Mar. It's fine. The toads here eat a lot more messily than you think."

Toad perked up, smacking Luigi before claiming, "Some toads!"

Luigi yelped and cradled his now swollen ankle, while Yoshi and Mario chuckled at their bickering. Then they heard the trumpets from Peach's castle, a warm invitation and a request for Mario and Luigi to go talk to her and Rosalina. Mario and Luigi glanced at each other before starting to head over, going in between the neighborhoods.

Mario sighed with a bit of shakiness, fidgeting with his overalls, "You don't think she's mad that I've been ignoring her...right?"

Luigi scoffed, smacking Mario upside the head and making his hat come off, "You're still doing that? I thought you two were official now."

Mario groaned, "I know! I need to make it right and soon before-"

There was a sudden crash near the market center, and a large chain chomp ran out. Mario pushed Luigi to the edge of the road, while he jumped back to the other side, letting the chain chomp run past. Mario and Luigi looked at each other before rushing over, with Yoshi and Toad hanging behind. Mario stopped to grab a nearby fruit, throwing it at the chomp to get its attention. It froze, turning a bright red before running after Mario. He yelped and ran down the street, hearing it barks became louder and louder as they ran. Mario heard Yoshi's little eating sound and glanced back, seeing him keep it in his mouth. Luigi sighed with relief, but he paused as Rosalina's voice.

"Stop! Let the chain chomp go."

Yoshi paused and puked it out, with the chain chomp falling out with wide eyes, but it barked at Rosalina when the elegant mother approached. She sighed, "This isn't any chain chomp. It's Iggy Koopa's chain chomp."

Rosalina used her wand to make the chain chomp float, making it spin slowly until they saw a messy note on its chain. Mario paused, "Iggy? Who the hell is Iggy?"

Peach came running up, but she paused and awkwardly stood next to Rosalina, keeping her eyes away from Mario. Luigi gave a look to Mario before Rosalina spoke up, "He's... a koopa alright," she ripped off the note, "and one of the most feared ones outside the royals."

Mario and Luigi glanced at each other, before Toad spoke up with a bit of worry, "Uh... like Iggy Koopa? The Iggy Koopa? In the Koopalings gang?"

Mario and Luigi perked up at the mention of a gang, and Rosalina nodded grimly as she read the messy note, before she let out a small gasp, "Shut down the kingdom. Now."

Peach paused and nodded, trusting her sister. She looked at nearby toad guards, before watching Rosalina lead Mario and Luigi, along with Yoshi of course, while Toad stayed with Peach, to the castle. Mario spoke up first. "Okay okay... Iggy. Koopalings. Who are they exactly...?"

Rosalina sighed as she walked into the castle's library filled with books all along the walls, some shelves overstuffed with books and old journals. She used her wand to pull out a book, with its leather cover stained red along with big, scratched in words saying 'Koopa History.' Mario and Luigi watched as Rosalina flipped through the pages, before she stopped at an odd portrait. The bothers only recognized the king in the middle, but the seven around him... were all new to them. Rosalina pointed at one of them, a lanky, skinny koopa with palm tree green styled hair, a crazy look in his eyes and glasses.

"This is Iggy Koopa. He's one of the eldest. He is the "mad scientist" of the group basically. He runs the machinery, experiments and engineering. Iggy... had a rough time fitting in with the other koopalings at the time, only one he actually got along with was Lemmy."

Rosalina's finger wandered over to a small version of Iggy, but he had a large Mohawk that consisted of three colors; pink, yellow and blue, with a yellow rat tail braid below that stuck out. He was one of the smallest of the koopalings it seemed, with a small lazy eye. Rosalina sighed, her motherly look showing in her eyes as she glanced over the page. "They were too young to join Bowser at such an age..."

Mario paused and gently rubbed Rosalina's back, watching as she started to pull herself together. She let out a heavy sigh before she pointed out another koopa. "This is Ludwig Von Koopa. The eldest of the koopalings and the most advanced in magic. If you ever hear a piano in battle, and I mean ever," she looked up at the brothers, who were getting nervous at her strict tone, "that's him. I wouldn't fight him first if I were you. Well..." She did another heavy sigh, "Nevermind."

Mario gestured for him and Luigi to look at it themselves. Rosalina reluctantly nodded, moving out of the way. Mario chuckled softly, "Who's the little brat?"

Rosalina raised an eyebrow, "ah...Wendy O. Koopa. The fashionista."

Mario giggled, "Yeah? What about Mr Shades over there?"

Rosalina glanced where Mario's gloved hand was pointing, "Roy Koopa."

Luigi raised an eyebrow. "Do they all have Koopa as their last name or...?"

Rosalina paused, "We're not sure... we never really needed to know."

Mario giggled, "Odd bunch of kids. Who's that?"

Rosalina sighed in a bit of annoyance, and she towered over Mario to start pointing them out so he would stop asking over and over again. "Ludwig. Iggy. Lemmy. Morton. Roy. Wendy. Larry. Got it?"

Mario paused and nodded weakly, giving a small thumbs up. Luigi smacked Mario slightly before they stood up, "So uh... why are they not with Bowser Junior? Wouldn't they stick together?"

Rosalina paused and sighed, "That's the problem and why it is odd to hear from them... They were disowned by Bowser after he had Junior, ordered by the Galaxy Supreme Court. The court and Bowser made a deal... If he was to never have a biological heir, he would have to keep the children. But then it rumored fast. The Koopa King was impregnated with a biological heir."

Mario paused and glanced at Luigi, who looked a little sad hearing this. Rosalina continued, "The were disowned and sent away, outside of the Dark lands. They stuck together, and eventually they became troops, then they became generals, then they became Kamek's advisors and prized pupils. They moved up the food chain faster each day, which... startled Bowser. Everyone didn't understand why they were so eager to stay under Bowser's name, but the koopa allowed it. Keeping them as his generals for personal reasons... Bowser Jr never found out about the story, so, he was clueless the entire time. And then came the school, then came you two."

Mario grunted in acknowledgement, and Luigi sniffed and wiped his face down, "I gotta say, they're a dedicated bunch of koopas.."

Rosalina nodded and showed the two the note finally. It read...

"Dear Princesses and Mario Brothers,

since you ATTACKED MY DEAR SECOND FAVORITE KOOPA and Bowser I guess.... I shall gather up my troops and visit you personally!!! >:(

From... Iggy Koopa :D"
