Happy Father's Day to the best DAD in the world. Every day I am grateful that this is the main man in my life. There is no other like him and there will never be anyone like him. Homero De La Rosa is my dad and I am hella proud to be his daughter. My favorite memory of him was when I was super young like four or five. He would get paid once a month on a Friday. Every now and again we would have a father/daughter date. He would drive me up to San Antonio to the mall, just him and me. He would buy me a slice of pizza and then we would go see a movie. I felt so special to spend alone time with my dad. My father is a man of few words, believing that actions speak volumes. His actions make me feel loved, I hope mine do the same. Today we threw a reverse surprise birthday party for our incredible friend @olive_thehairartist she is beautiful and lovely and considerate and generous and a great friend and even greater mom and one of the best people I know. To say that I am grateful to have her in my life would be an understatement and not at all do justice to the joy that she brings me in my life. What's a reverse surprise birthday party? That is when you bring your friend to the designated spot and everybody else shows up later and at intervals pretending that they just happen to be in the same place as the birthday girl. She didn't get it even as four people showed up that would never be in that area. She didn't get it until her sister and her kids showed up. It was a great reverse surprise. We had tacos.
