serendipity.
â
Itâs not until the doors properly closed that Woobin turned back around to face his petite companion - his stern expression melting away at the sound of Kiâs giggles as he shot him a wink.
It was easy to fall back into their playful back and forth even if, at that moment, Woobin had zero idea of what he was doing. He wasnât sure what had compelled him to invite Ki to breakfast and effectively kidnap him before the younger man had a chance to answer. He just knew that he wanted nothing more to do with the busybody crowd behind them when he could instead enjoy a few more stolen moments with Ki. Â
Even if all that entailed was Ki choosing to accompany him to the second floor and nothing more.
But as he watched Ki relax, saying nothing as he hit the button for the twenty ninth floor, Woobin found himself gravitating towards the young escort.
âThatâs simply a matter of opinion, Ki-yah,â he teasingly argued back, giving him a once over just for show. But Woobin did have to quietly acknowledge that he had a point.
In the clear light of day, it was obvious just what Ki had been up to the night before - even if, to Woobin at least, that did nothing to detract from the young escortâs beauty.
âBut my plan most definitely involves food, beautiful,â he assured him, cupping his cheek with one hand as he gently tipped Kiâs head back.
âIf youâre interested that is,â he reassured him, smile still soft as he offered Ki an out - something which was starting to become a bit of a habit for Woobin. But considering the way they seemed to constantly run into one another, it seemed important that the young man understand the parameters of their interactions.
âI even have a spare hoodie if you want to change.âÂ
Despite the obvious tease in Woobinâs tone as he gave him a once over of his own, Ki canât help but feel pleased that the older man seems to like whatever it is heâs seeing-- especially since Ki knows damn well that he looks a hot mess right now. After his night with clients booked back to back, heâs sure he looks something akin to a rabid raccoon with his smeared eyeliner and his curls a tangled mess of sweaty gel. Still, with the way that Woobin is looking at him right now, Ki almost forgets to be self-conscious about any of that.
Almost.
âItâs going to take more than a hoodie to fix this mess,â he says with a little laugh, tilting his face into the feather light touch against his cheek.
He hesitates over his next words, unsure if heâs bold enough to push.
The man standing before him is still a stranger-- a fact which Ki is finding all too easy to forget whenever their paths happen to cross. He doesnât know a thing about him apart from his name and where he works. However, Ki canât help but feel at ease in Woobinâs presence, canât deny the little thrill he gets when cornered with that cocky grin or the way his stomach tightens over the softest of touch.
But Ki has never been one to mull over things, to think them through. So why should he start now?
âLet me borrow your shower and weâve got a deal.â
The elevator dings cheerfully as they reach Woobinâs floor. The doors slide smoothly open, but Ki remains in his spot wedged between the older man and the elevatorâs wall, quite content to remain pinned as he is. âI can make it quick,â he promises, though not without pitching his voice lower and adding a playful, âUnless you want to join me, of course.â
The offer falls a little flat though and doesnât make it to his eyes.
