Yamato disliked being woken up early. But, he was used to it. Unfortunately. But, he couldnât really ever bring himself to say no to Nagi of all people, much less an excited Nagi, so heâd dragged himself out of bed and let the excitable man take him wherever it was he wanted to go.
And now all of a sudden they were standing at the top of a very tall cliff and Mitsuki was there and what the fuck was going on??
âYeah, um, no way. Not happening. Weâll die. Like, seriously die. Weâll end up a stain on the ground and thatâll be it. Do you have any idea how tall this cliff is?? Itâs like - shit, I donât know, itâs way too tall! You donât jump from this height and live, Nagi!â
God, just looking over the edge was enough to have Yamatoâs head spinning. He stepped away, swallowing thickly. Usually he tried especially hard to hide when things frightened him, but actually seriously fuck this.
âCouldnât you have chosen something simpler?! Like, I donât know, wasnât there some task about performing? Thatâd be easy! Whyâd you pick this?!â
Ah. This wasnât going as planned at all.
Mitsuki and Yamato were justâŚupset now, werenât they? And Nagi thought he had chosen well! It was a leap of faith - everyone liked taking those, right? They had taken plenty together, during their time in IDOLiSH7. This one was justâŚa lot more literal!
ItâŚhad to be safe, right? The announcement that woke him up in the first place had said all of this was for data collection - not to hurt or to harm them. If they had wanted to do that, wouldnât all of these Ofiuclones have just attacked them right off the bat?
âNo, no, itâs okay! There is padding beneath the cliff, itâs just invisible! I would not lead the two of you into a situation where I think we would get hurt.â He insisted, looking over the edge of the cliff again. Sure, it was a pretty big fallâŚbut it wasnât terrible. He hadnât fallen from greater heights - but he had certainly stood upon taller peaks.Â
âItâs a test, itâs okay!â
Oh, no... Nagi was making the sad face. The one he and Yamato could never stand up to. âAgh- you canât really expect us to just jump...â He inched closer to the edge, shivering as his foot reached it. Nope! No way! He didnât care if it was safe- it was scary! And he was expected to jump willingly?! He scrambled away, shivering. He hated heights! Why had Nagi brought him here?! âYou two do it! Iâm going to stay up here, where itâs safe, and my feet have something beneath them! Thereâs absolutely no way Iâm jumping! None! Zero chance!â He crossed his arms in an X motion and shook his head vigorously.Â
