Of course, the legend is written in an old long dead language that no one really speaks anymore and there's a hundred different variations of the story with different and sometimes contradicting details, so when the hunters stumble across bunny/rabbit/hare!Dream they assume the legend is referring to him and that he is said spirit and so they're trying to kill him to get said luck and prosperity. Is the story true? Unclear, but Dream is DEFINITELY playing into it. (He's bored and hasn't had a good challenge in a long time. Plus it's funny to mess with the hunters, who all INSIST that it's NOT a foot fetish thing)

I mean our government comes up with “reasons” to invade other countries, such as Syria, like their government is allegedly violating human rights or something like that. but… I mean for other countries, they do not even have to go deep to bomb the fuck out of this place, they can just look at our media. And this has been happening to people of color since the media has existed.
