2. They DO choose lower paying jobs. America is a free country where anyone with the money and the dedication can have any job they want.

3. Of course the job fields are paid less. Many female dominated jobs require less work and are less demanding in every sense than “male dominated” jobs. Its also not a fair comparison either because most jobs like plumbers and construction workers are men, and those jobs usually aren’t very much higher paying than many women oriented jobs. Women are less likely to get promotions or raises because on average, they work less hours, take maternity leave, etc. and therefore are less desirable in higher positions. The hiring issue comes from men usually being more qualified in the sense of more work experience and/or they went through to their masters degree.

4. I’m so fucking tired of the actors and actresses “wage gap” shit. They pay you based on your amount of successful work and how desirable you are to the general public to have as a character. You think Angelina Jolie would make less as a lead than some random man, or even B rate actor, in a movie? No. Of course not. You get paid based on your fame and how much money you bring into the bussiness.

5. Pushed out? By WHO? Mean people you might say something mean to her about it? No one forced women with children to leave their jobs, not legally anyway.

If only there was an explanation based on the amount of people willing to go into a field and the necessity of employers to pay high wages to attract people to that field. One that could explain this alleged phenomenon of women working in fields that become lower paying that doesn’t require a conspiracy of sexist employers…
