While this person is obviously pretty putrid, what bothers me most about this is all the people taking her number, calling her and cussing her out or, worse yet, threatening her - because, let’s be honest, that’s happening. We’ve seen people on just Tumblr completely losing their shit over nothing or satirical sites (Christwire’s anti-masturbation video springs to mind - who are just further cementing her belief that “those people” are evil and giving her ammo to use when she talks about the “evil people.”

What other way is there to respond to bigotry? I think it’s a good thing that people get pissed about this kind of behavior.

today I saw a preteen girl pick up Mean Girls at Target and ask her friend what it was. She didn’t even know. She said it sounded dumb. The people are forgetting. The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.

I feel if we lose mean girls to the public consciousness we will be ok.
