Hi, I know this is really out the blue, but do you think you could help me with a fundraiser type of thing? I was thinking… karaoke concert or kissing booth? Maybe both? What do you think?

I think karaoke would go down super well! Although a kissing booth might be cute. Then again...you wouldn’t want to end up causing unnecessary arguments during the Christmas period...so perhaps...stick with the karaoke? 

Task 15.

Ooh! What’s at the top of your list? 

He chuckled heavily, followed with a yawn as he nodded. “Maybe,” he looked for his cold brew and took a small sip. “I know it’s weird, I just want to do really good, I over exert myself when I want to do well,” he murmured softly as he yawned again. He hummed with a nod. “I’m fine, I swear,” he assured. Settling in his seat again with a small smile. “You studied with me at the coffee shop, Melody right?”

“...you remembered my name?” She was used to people remembering her face, but never being able to place her; it was like she was there, but not completely. “I am impressed.” A soft smile tugged at her lips. “I understand your drive to do well...but when you are falling asleep in your books...don’t you think that’s counter-productive? Sleep is...kind of...really important.”

Ford’s head lulled forward as he fell asleep on his books spread across the library table. He’d been studying since early morning and now it was nearing dinner time and all energy was gone as well as his coffee. He bolted when he felt someone near. “I’m awake, I swear…”

A soft laugh slipped from her lips as she set down a fresh coffee in front of Ford. “Oh really?” Melody pulled out the chair opposite and sighed. “Maybe you need to give yourself a break...I mean, I think you’re doing more work than I am, and I’ve been working solidly for two weeks.” The blonde had come into the library to return some of her books when she had noticed the familiar face asleep at the table. She had taken it upon herself to pop down the road to buy him a fresh coffee - she had learned his order the day they studied in the coffee shop together. “...are you okay?”

Cynthia sighed and shook her head slowly, crossing her arms over her chest. “Almost every day for the past two months,” she said simply. “I don’t even know why, I just woke up one day and realized I wasn’t… happy. Like I’m just here, and things are just happening. Ugh,” she shuddered. “I hate it.”

Melody nodded slowly. “That’s...exactly how I feel. I mean, I am a happy person...I wouldn’t say I was unhappy...but I don’t feel like I used to...” She knew it was because she had taken the risk of blurring the lines between friendships and relationships, and ended up losing them entirely. She blamed herself for feeling like this. “How are you supposed to get out of this rut?”

Just like that! “I’m super sorry, but I have to pursue other passions”. Promise to make them a crêpe when you get back, hon, and they’ll be all for it.

“I’m definitely right, trust me. I dunno… just pick a random place you’ve never been before and leave. Not forever I guess, but for a while. Until you stop feeling like shit.” He shrugs. “I’ve heard Vegas is pretty cool.”
