We're All Mad Here

❝ i’m going to kill you, blondie. obviously. ❞ he rolled his eyes as though the answer were clear as day. his fangs came out, hovering mere inches from the skin on her neck. he knew how much trouble he’d be in with his brother once he found out, but nik never seemed to care much about that.

❝ and why would i do that, sweetheart ?? ❞ simply laughed, the sound of her heart RACING only making him more tempted to rip her apart.  ❝ i can see why my brother likes you. he’s the soft type, the good brother. ❞

❝ shhh. ❞ he whispered, voice soft. wicked blue eyes traced her features before narrowing slightly.  ❝ no, no i didn’t. but if my brother has told you anything, ❞ he paused, moving to whisper in her ear. ❝ it’s that i’m a very good liar, and i am very, very dangerous. ❞   

❝ that would be me, yeah. ❞ he could sense her change in tone. a smirk spread across his features and he shook his head. he took her wrist, holding it rather tightly.  ❝ you must be alice, huh ?? ❞

“My brother’s back in town…” Atticus confessed, he’d never really brought Nik up to Alice. “Uh, Nik and I don’t exactly see eye to eye..”

❝ yeah, of course. ❞ he nodded, starting to walk in the direction of where he had supposedly seen her dog. humans, they were so naive.  ❝ my name’s nik, by the way. ❞

“Of course,” He smiled. Atticus had a hard time being away from Alice after the attack. He was suddenly faced with a sudden realization of just how human she was. She wasn’t a vampire like he was, and she wouldn’t heal if she got hurt. He didn’t know what he would do if she was hurt. Atticus had a hard time letting people in, but once they got through his shell they were stuck with him. He was far to loyal to let anything bad happen to those that he cared for, evidenced with how he killed someone for Clarissa just months ago.

❝ i think i might have seen a dog pass by, actually. ❞ he lied.  ❝ it could have easily been my imagination, of course, but i swear i thought i saw a dog. ❞

“She’s alright. I gave all three dogs some food and water before I left. She was playing with Thor when I left.” Atticus smiled, wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her small frame close to him.

“Yeah, I brought her home and came to find you. I meant to text you but I must have left my phone in the kitchen..”

when the girl came close to colliding with him, he put an arm out to steady her.  ❝ you seem a little lost. ❞ he gave her a small smile, though it was completely fake.  ❝ need a hand ?? ❞

“I’m right here,” Atticus said after speeding over to her.

As soon as Atticus heard the first screams, he was on the search for Alice. Finding her, he ran to her, grabbing onto her arm, lightly, “We need to get out of here, now,” He said, hoping he wasn’t scaring her. He couldn’t live with himself if something happened to her.

“Hope you do. Is he your date or just a friend you call as your guy?”

“Ohh.. Actually, I haven’t seen him around. You’re better off asking a family member. Sorry that I couldn’t be of help.”
