Luka! [for a moment he’s forgotten to be awkward and he fixes him with this almost upset frown] Where on earth have you been? You can’t just vanish whenever the hell you want to, I thought you died or became a hermit–

[he bursts out laughing] Since when have I ever played the trumpet?

Why are you– I’m not going to ask. //Shakes her head a little bit, before flopping back into her chair// Just bad dreams, don’t worry too much about it. It’ll pass, and I’ll probably wander back to bed in a few minutes. 

Hey, I wanna here all about it. [sits on the edge of the couch] I’m all yours. Tell me what’s been haunting you.

Hey Luka. //Yawns// Couldn’t sleep. What’re you doing up-? 

Just this and that. Working on making a gauntlet from simple household materials. What about you? [leans in a little closer] What’s been keeping you up darling?

The idea of genies are simply hilarious and unlikely. Wizards I understand, they are still human. And shapeshifters as well. But Genies. Those are an entire different thing! No no, I’m actually a star.

...So you can understand all those other things, cause they’re still human, but you don’t believe in genies, which is definitely not as likely as a star. Down on Earth. That appears to be human.

I should probably be more concerned than I actually am about not sleeping. 

[walks over to the arm chair and leans against it] Hey there beautiful. Couldn’t help noticing you’re alone right now-- need some company~?

Yeah, that’s kind of weird. What grade were you in when you had her?

Uhhhh first and second year of secondary school! She taught piano. And I, of course, was an exceptional student-- [pretends to flip his hair] Not that it’s any surprise.

And pshhhhh [giggles letting go of his hand to cover her mouth] No no, genies. That’s funny. Genies don’t exist! 

Neither are flying guys or wizards or shape shifters, and yet we got a people like that right here in the mansion! Or did-- I think the wizard left. And the shape shifter. But you never know what doesn’t exist anymore--
