First of, it wouldn’t be TWO people hating each other since Toko clearly does not hate Byakuya. And second, I don’t think Byakuya hates Toko.

Everything you said so far about their relationship is true, but I have the feeling you, and many other people, stopp at that part of their relationship.  Let’s start with Byakuya. Apart from the fact that he treats everyone like trash in the beginning, not only Toko, he becomes nicer towards her as the story progresses. He stopps abusing the power he has over her, he starts to praise her, he starts to worry about her, he is even the one who brings up her alibies when she is a murder suspect in later trials. In Despair Girls it’s said that he prepares a device for her which makes it easer for her to controll Genocide Jack.

”He wants her to die at least once”, which he probably states about everyone and is also probably always a lie. Byakuya also states that he actually does not want to kill anyone and just wants to end the Killing Game, which means most of his “You all can just die, I don’t give a crap”; is probably just some attitude he keeps up to keep his distance from everyone (which, given his past, makes sense). Whether that’s true or not is up to interpretation and there we are free to dissagree. I mean, in Despair Girls, and even in Danganronpa 2 and Danganronpa 3, he risks his life to safe the others, he get’s kidnapped when he tries to safe Komaru. Is that something a guy who wants someones death would do?

And for Toko, first of, Toko is NOT the one who stalks him, that’s Genocide Jack. I hear it so many times and it annoyes the heck out of me. “Toko stalks him. Toko is a Serial Killer.” She is NOT. Toko is NOT Genocide Jack. Alters are NOT the same person as their host, in this case, they don’t even share their memories. You can’t blame Toko for Genocide Jacks actions. That’s fucking ableist. And NO, it is about what they could be. At least for me. If it’s not for you, again, that’s fine. 

But he's the one that faces you in the Murder route with the only intention being changing your mind, and is the only one to try that

And it isn't because he's unaware of your actions, but because he IS aware of them, and he reaches out anyways.
