Happy 44th birthday today to My Superman, Brandon Routh!

Born on October 9, 1979, Brandon Routh turned 44 today.

He was my first movie Superman.

Since then, he’s always been my favorite Superman.

The movie, Superman Returns, may not have been perfect, but he was the perfect Superman to me.

He perfectly played Superman who has god-level powers but also has human sides just like us.

Even in real life he’s shown that he’s still a good person all these years.

14 years after his first Superman film, he proved that he could still be the perfect, or even better Superman.

I’m still hoping that now in his mid-40s, he’ll have a chance to play the middle-aged Superman again. If we could meet an older Superman on TV or in a movie, it would be a monumental moment in the history of Superman.

Mr. Brandon Routh will be Superman in my book, ALWAYS and FOREVER.
