Sorry for the late answer. I wanted to have a little more time to answer to this.

I think “fate” is a sort of “romantic notion”, I don’t really believe in it. I don’t think we’re predestined or something.

We fall in love. I don’t think there’s some “powerful” force who forces (sorry for the pun) us to love someone.

Probably when you’re in love, you’re also happy, and romantic, so people are inclined to say “it was fate” or “we’re meant to be”. I’m sure that when you’re in love with someone you feel like that person is the one for you because how that person makes you feel and for billion other reasons. But relationships are hard, relationship are complicated. So it’s up to you to fight for it. It’s your choice to be by that person’s side everyday through good and bad stuff.

We fall in love because it’s what we do. We love. It’s what drives most of us. But then… what you build with a person… it’s your choice, it’s what you want.

It’s not some kind of supernatural force who chooses that for you.
