Amadeus (1984)
directed by Miloš Forman
what is the most important part of a film?
I'm a sucker for beautiful imagery. I have given movies with mediocre or even slightly bad concepts/stories a decent rating when they were visually appealing or interesting to me. Then again, I'm not entirely opposed to movies that are a bit nihilistic or lack some standard storytelling anyway, I don't mind when movies are a bit more experiential.
What's important to me either way is that the dialogue is natural and/or fitting to the themes. It can really mess up the immersion just as much as a poor performance.
