“Soon enough, I’ll just start flat out assuming that you’re ignoring me on purpose, Podmore.” Katrina teased him. Granted, she really wasn’t talking about something really relevant- just the usual nonsense people seemed to be obsessed in parties like this one. “Tell me about the world you were in instead, then.”

“I promise I wasn’t,” Milo laughed, shaking his head. “Just stuck inside my own head, unfortunately. It’s been... a rather stressful few weeks.” He admitted with a sigh. “Care to distract me from that?”

Amos had watched his friends expression change all of a sudden. “Oh, i rathered that as soon as I started talking, your eyes started to glaze over mate.” Amos said with an amused grin. “Was talking about the food, the food good..” he added

“Yeah, sorry there’s been a lot on my mind lately,” He admitted with a sigh, before his eyebrow quirked up as the other spoke. “You what? What food? Amos, what the bloody hell are you on?”

“I was just saying that I’m really glad we went to this thing together.” Rose smiled widely at the other. She didn’t know personally the wedding couple, but she was part of the comittee that helped organize it and Rose enjoyed every excuse to dress up.

“Oh, yeah, uh, thanks for agreeing to come with me,” Milo murmured, nodding. “It’s nice to spend more time with you,” He admitted shyly, the smile still on his lips. 

WARDROBE

Milo blinked twice, turning to the other with a sheepish grin. His mind had been elsewhere, and he wasn’t entirely sure how long he’d been standing there. “Sorry, I uh, was in a world of my own there.” He admitted, pinching the bridge of his nose, before pushing up his glasses. “Were you saying something?”

It was a rare event that Sturgis would be the first one awake, but one of the dogs had woken him up rather early. At least, to his standards it was early, but he had a feeling the rest of his family would probably rise soon enough. And while usually, he would just go back to bed for a little longer, there was only one thing that he loved just as much as sleeping, and it was the dogs. Who both seemed to have quite a lot of energy that morning, so he figured he could take them on a walk. Except he didn’t. As he went to ask Mae to join him, he froze. She wasn’t in her room, while this wouldn’t be the first time this happened, something was off.

He didn’t even bother closing her door, Barclay following him close behind as he went to find his brother. If possible, he’d rather keep their parents out of it, and he was almost thankful he woke up early. The last thing he wanted to do was to worry them. But he couldn’t handle that alone, so he just went straight to his brother, concern lacing his voice as he spoke. “Milo, hey. Wake up!” He said, shaking his brother’s shoulder. “We got a problem.”

Milo woke to something shaking his shoulder, bleary eyes searching the room until they landed on Stu. A very concerned looking Stu. Milo bolted awake, sitting up almost instantly as he scrambled for his glasses. He practically shoved them on his face, a yawn escaping his lips. “Stu? What time is it? What’s wrong?” Panic crept in his tone as he reached out to place a hand on the others arm. “Stu?”

She chewed on her lips for a moment, not sure how she could possibly make it sound better. “I-” She started but then stopped, taking a pause. Lying wouldn’t help, neither would sugarcoating it. “Yeah, I was bored. At first. But then I realized it might not only be that, and it made me confused.”

Milo flinched when she said she was bored, his gaze dropping to the floor. “Right. Well nice to know that whether you like me or not, you apparently have no problems messing around with my feelings. I really liked you Dahls. It wasn’t fair.”

“Thanks.” Amos said proudly with a signature crooked grin falling onto his lips. Anytime their was a chance to inflate his already massive ego, Amos Diggory was there. “But seriously, if i knew how to deal with heartbreak.. i would offer you the words of wisedom, but I rather cause a scene and shout at the girl who broke my heart.” Amos listed off in one breathe.

Milo shook his head in amusement at the other, before biting down on his lower lip as the other spoke. “Well, I think I’ll take a pass on that approach. If I figure it out, I’ll let you know. Did you... want to talk about it?”
