Hello disciples and heretics of the Millennial Gospel. S here. I know you haven’t heard from me in a while, but I wanted to let you all know that The Millennial Gospel project is coming to a close. 

This project has been such a blessing to us since Alice and I started it nearly a decade ago (a decade!). It was a place where we could freely explore faith and express ourselves artistically, and I’ll never stop being blown away by the amazing response the project got. I am so grateful for every ask, every playlist, every scrap of poetry contributed to growing this blog from a personal exploration to a public art project.

However, I started this project when I was 18, and it’s grown beautifully and wildly out of my hands. I haven’t actively updated the blog in years, and moreover, my opinions, theology, and philosophy have grown beyond where I was as a teenager. It’s time to close the book on this chapter of my creative and theological life and put the reins of Millennial Gospel back where they belong, in the hands of you, the people. The mob, the wanderers, the seekers, the faithful. You made this blog everything it is, and I hope that you’ll continue to push the boundaries of faith, explore sacred stories, and remake yourself in the image of the God who sees you.

I’ll be deleting Millennial Gospel tomorrow evening, but I figured I owed you guys a goodbye. I hope to see you around on my main tumblr over at @stgibsonofficial or just around the web in general. 

Go in peace, and be so well until we meet again.
