I should advise right off the hop, you’re going to want to go ahead and press PLAY up top before you start reading this post.  Alright, now where were we?  Well if you must know, the past 11 days have been some of the most emotional ones of my life.  From extreme highs to extreme lows, to utter panic and fear all the way to sincere I don’t give two fuckeries.  I know, that’s life and I’m out here living.  This record by local Winnipeg up and comer, Chris Bennett (Millenial Cartel) managed to perfectly encompass those thoughts that have been living inside my mind throughout my last emotional roller coaster ride.

Simply titled Ray Charles, the freestyled record will have you feeling like you just stepped out the Hawaiian hotbox in the dead of winter. It will engulf your mental and spiritual with this euphoric sense of relief combined with a distinct urge to change the game along with your tax bracket. Chris Bennett has been buzzing on the local scene since the release of his debut solo project Nova Initium in the first quarter of the year.  Winding down 2014, I can confidently say that there is a lot more in store for Chris and the whole of Millenial Cartel, so stay hip to da game or get benched.  Chris Bennett will be opening for Lil Scrappy and Paul Wall on Friday night at Stereo Nightclub, and again on Tuesday, December 2 at the same venue, only this time he will be sharing the stage with Bad Boy signee, Machine Gun Kelly.
