A wheelchair ain't stopping me

     “That doesn’t sound very enjoyable.        Kind of keeps you on your toes.”

     Ian groaned internally when he caught sight of the pout,      huffing out a small breath. “Fine. The crutches I’ll tell you      about. Not the black eye though.” He passed through the      doors and rested back against the walls. “Deal?”

     “I’m sixteen. I’m not exactly allowed to        roll into a gun store to sell them a gun        I shouldn’t even have.”

     “I’m sure you’ll find another teacher        to wreak havoc on. What... what        did happen to Harris anyways?”

     “Isn’t your dad the sheriff?”

“You don’t look qualified to be here.”

“So you can listen to squeaky wheels?   I could have gotten home by myself.   The cops got those killers. It’s not   exactly dangerous out here anymore.”

     “Did she ever mention anything about        the Walcotts? Uh, Sean Walcott?”

     “No offense, but you don’t look anything like my therapist.”

     “So does Coach actually like you or        is he hell-bent on ruining your life.        I can’t tell.”

     “Hey uh, Scott right? You okay? I thought you had pink        or something the other day cause your eyes looked        different, but someone said you had just been trying        out new contacts.”

     “The crutches aren’t related to the black eye.”        Ian let the door swing closed behind him and        stopped beside the elevator doors, gaze flickering        over her briefly. “It’s not important.”

     He ducked in just behind her, adjusting his grip      on his crutches so he could hold the door open      with his shoulder. “Thanks.”

     “I am trying to sell it. That’s why I came to you.        I’m not going to give it to some random guy on        the streets and end up in juvie because it got        used in a robbery or something.”

“I’m about ninety percent that’s all true.   Doesn’t change the fact that I’d bet you   have a gun on your right now, and probably   a shit load of other concealed weapons. So   what’s one more?”
