This show desperately needed a time jump. We don't need to see what happens the day after Carmy quits (after racking up almost a million dollars in debt, mind you). We need to move away from him. We need to see this fucking restaurant finally thriving after being free of his bullshit for at least a year.

With the exception of Natalie, the Berzattos are toxic AF, so we don't need to see their recovering alcoholic matriarch either. We need to see Natalie - and Richie - thriving without their bullshit.

We need to see Sydney and Luca (or Sydney and Marcus) thriving.

I am tired of this restaurant's money problems. I am tired of its building problems... that were supposed to be resolved back in Season 2.

It's been five fucking years. Tell us something new already.
