twitter rn is struggling to understand why some people r iffy about the idea of susie wearing ribbons (something she personally deems "childish", but is clear to her that means "feminine", which is it's own bag of worms for sure) and its annoying bc in the actual game it is rly not that big of a deal, but peoples worries that it could be indicative of a very COMMON TROPE for masculine girls in fiction to grow out of their masculinity is like, completely understandable, even if i personally believe it's unfounded & highly unlikely. like ppl r acting as if these people are being ignorant (implying the people worried think a butch doing something slightly feminine = theyre not butch) or just making fun of them and its like wow . can we all live in the real world for a second . can we all understand that masc women being a little overprotective of a masc teenage girl character who is written rly well is like fine and is just a sign that masc women still to this day do not get a lot of good characterization in stories rather than it being some kind of personal attack on deltarune itself / indication of ignorant personal beliefs on gender presentation . idk
