“Lying in the sun”

My idea of this piece is the prototype being taken outside after defeat, seeing sunlight and grass for the first time in decades…The blue butterfly landing on him symbolizes rebirth, freedom, and farewell 😢

The Prototype’s design is so attractive, especially the jester theme and hands

When We Were Young Special collaborative commission for @tibberrs and his music video I assisted with for him! For a lil bit of lore on this art piece, I wanted this to be something that reflects the Prototype and Poppy and their complicated relationship. Both have their own conflicting sides; One sees the dedication on replicating something impossible, while the other seeks only to stop it through justice. And yet, they only have each other through their circumstances on immortality...and infinity is lonely. They miss the past, when things were simple, but now they can only deal with the present. Poppy Playtime

After three years, I was finally given the opportunity to make an updated version of all the characters from Poppy Playtime in one massive illustration! Possibly my most ambitious illustration I've ever done. With this taking 68 hours to complete and having over 100+ characters featured, I wanted to make sure every single one of them got the same amount of attention and detail with out error. This holds a new record for most amount of characters in an illustration and I'm so happy how it turned out in the end. Consider this being a form of my love-letter to Poppy Playtime. ❤️ Speedpaint
