It's been 3 years. The "DM day" happened on 28th of July, 2023, a beautiful Friday, when I got a free ticket of a certain Memento Mori tour to the biggest Hungarian stadium (47000 sold tickets), and I went to a concert that has changed my life. In the beginning it was intense, I was almost suffering, but it has become the part of my life.
I celebrated the anniversary two years ago with this and this posts, one year ago with this and this posts. I put there some links to remember, including my first "coming out". On this day Condemnation's video was shooting by Anton Corbijn near Budapest, 33 years ago - I went to the spot in 2024. I met wonderful friends through this blog. I've started to collect mostly old DM vinyls and other stuff. I become a post punk/new wave synth player in a new, talented band (since then I bought a stage KORG), we made a cassette last year and this year our new album will be released on vinyl soon. Our next gig will be in abroad. This year I got an invitation to another, minimal wave/dark wave band to play, we'll also travel to abroad soon. Over 100 rehearsals and 20 gigs together.
And... someone stole my heart. Someone to hug and love. Musician as myself. I'll keep posting and collecting DM treasures, playing on stage, writing music, meet new people and lost in my love's arms.
I'm overcome by emotions... All these thanks to Depeche Mode. To a tour concert 3 years ago. To my sweet, best friend, who gave me that ticket. Amazing, isn't it?
