Silver, who already possessed natural psychokinesis abilities, was chosen to be the first Cuffs test subject due to his outstanding potential. In a mission to save the future, Silver uses this technology to travel through time and try to prevent a disaster from ravaging his world. This gels with the old lore about psychic powers being common in Silver’s future and Silver’s gear having the same markings as ancient echidna technology in Sky Sanctuary and the Nocturne from Sonic Chronicles.
